Seagrape without a DJ?!

Recommended Posts

Hello Ladies,

Wow! A month and a half before I had to the ROR and tie the knot! All the information on here has been extrememly helpful, but I still have one question.

I was wondering if any past/future brides who booked the Seagrape beach and just rented the cd player and speakers (instead of hiring a DJ). My thoughts are that I would probably be bringing my own music anyway, so why not just save some money and play it ourselves?! If you could help me out, it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much!

I don't have any solid answers for you but I did a search and found this thread for you:

From what I read there have been brides who rented a dj for the seagrape ($150/hr - but the prices may have changed) and some that have brought their own docking station - speakers/ipod - and used that for their music.

Also, I'm thinking if you want it to be private you have to pay $10/person for open bar...but don't quote me on this.

You are probably best to get in touch with Chandlyn this way you get more straight answers.

HTH!

I originally had a DJ booked for my night at the Seagrape. BUT at $150/hr (probably @$450+ total), I decided to forgo it, and bought a Bose Sound dock for $200 (on sale at futureshop during boxing-day week sales. It may not be as loud as the DJ with speakers but I think I'm cool with it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
