Wow Jody!!! Congratulations on your beautiful wedding! Thanks so much for posting the pictures - I am getting married at ME in November and was beginning to think I would never see pics of it!! I am really, really excited, it looked wonderful!

Great pics from your wedding and congrats!! We're getting married down there in 1 month! Can't wait. Had a couple of questions though:

 

Was your ceremony on the beach? I liked your location but it doesn't look like anything that Maritee has sent me pictures of.

 

What time does the Disco open?

 

Where did you have your reception dinner?

 

How was it working with the florist? Do you think I could find flowers somewhere else besides from their florist? I don't want to spend that much money on flowers.

 

Did you have decorations that you brought with you? I'm thinking of bringing some, but I just don't know what because I have no idea what everything will look like!

We did have our ceremony on the beach. It looked like the pics that Maritee sent me origionally. Maybe it is from a different angle. I will have a review up here soon so I will have a bunch more pics up soon. Or I can email a bunch to you if you send me your email address. If you go back a few pages in the thread you will see a pic that Josh posted of the beach wedding location. We did really like the beach location. The gazebo looks like it would be beautiful too.

 

The disco opens at 11.

 

We had our reception dinner at the Steak house. It was awsome!! I highly reccomend it. They did a beautiful job of decorating the table and you are in a room seperate from the others in the restaurant (although you are still very close). No need to bring extra decorations I think. Again I can email you some pictures if you send my your email address.

 

I would look into other florists. I didn't but I kind of wish I had (although I was very happy with my bouquet). I had just had my heart set on certain flowers. Do you have specific flowers in mind that your dying to have? If you are not too fussy then I wouldn't worry about it. The flowers they do are fantastic! I brought over fake flowers for my bridesmaids and the groomsmen bootineers and it worked out great. You may want to look into that too. It was MUCH cheaper than the Majestic prices.

Hi everyone...I've attached the template for my info booklet, which contains info on Punta Cana, Majestic Colonial, travel tips, etc. Many thanks to Khomac (her website included many helpful things which I added) and another poster, whose name escapes me, that had uploaded a Punta Cana info. booklet some time ago. I largely modeled my booklet after hers, tweaking and adding things specific to Majestic Colonial, etc. I tried searching for her name to properly acknowledge her, but couldn't find it. sad.gif I used a three-hole punch and tied the booklet together with ribbons to make it look really cute :-) That's about as fancy as I could get with this, since I work full-time and go to law school in the evenings! I mailed the booklets out last week, a little more than a month before we all leave.

Hopefully it will help someone!!

Hi!

Were you able to obtain any package info for the Majestic Elegance?
Also, do you know if you can stay at the Elegance and still use the failities at the Colonial, like the pools restaurants, some resorts offer a "stay and play option", Ican't seem to find this info on their site.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
