Hi! Congrats! so I was thinking of not doing too much decorating I am getting married at the Gazebo, steakhouse for dinner and wet bar reception. do you think the scenery is decor enough? I plan on doing very little maybe a runner on the dinner table a some pretty table cloths with candles for the reception.

I bought Poms off etsy and chair sashes from Ebay....our WC didnt charge us to set it up and it was amazing! We are minimalist and the decor is enough.  I am not sure what your budget is, but I would HIGHLY reccomend having your reception at La Barcaza, we did and our guests LOVED the break from the resort food and the cost was far less than doing it at the resort.

Steakhouse is the best option, it was the only restaurant my guests liked, make sure you talk to the WC, our guests loved the Cowboy Ribeye, but it wasnt part of the wedding dinner package...they made a few exceptions for us, but said it was something we should have asked the WC.

I thought about La Barcaza but I want people to have the option to go back to their rooms and we have some toddlers coming. I will still keep it in mind and talk to the fiance about it since I really liked the idea.

Thank you! We have over 70 people already, so I don't think we can make a reservation that morning :) we would need some kind of semi-private area...I have an email out to the WC, so we will see what she says. I was wondering if anyone did something like this and how much they paid, or, does anyone have any suggestions for some type of unique excursion or something we can do in lieu of a traditional welcome dinner?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
