What is the maximum number of people they allow for reservations for a wedding? Sorry so many questions. Any information any one has would be great. I was originally trying to do a private dinner reception as well, but this seems to add a lot of extra cost. We are expecting about 30 people for the wedding. Thanks!
I'm going to be doing the same thing. You can have the dinner at one of the restaurants and they reserve a section for your party for up to 60 people. They decorate the tables how you want and everything. It's a set menu though, so you choose the courses ahead of time. I'm going to the Steakhouse restaurant for mine.

I just received an email from DJ Mannia to confirm him for our reception. Is there anyone on here that has used their services? I wanted to know how you paid. He wants 50% up front through paypal and the rest at the wedding. Is that how you paid as well?

We are using him for our February wedding and we also paid the 50% deposit. We're not sure how we want to pay for everything else though.

            E-mail: info@manniapuntacana.com
Website: MANNIA - Audio, Video e IluminaciĀ³n Profesional

There's an advertisement for DJ Mannia on this website also -- he's a preferred vendor (it's the second square down from the top right).

I remember reading somewhere on this thread that there is an extra fee to bring in outside vendors, is this just the day pass fee or is there an additional charge?

If you're using an outside photographer it's $300 and if you're bringing an outside Dj for example, it's $90 per person. Not sure what other fees there are, but I think these are the main ones.

Does anyone know if you need to bring an electrical converter (I think that is what it is called) for your blow dryer and flat iron?? I want to give my guests a heads up if so, but hadn't thought about it till now.

Also, I have been looking at the weather. It looks like rain everyday for the next 10 days! Does anyone know if it rains alot in the DR? I am really concerned all of the sudden, my wedding is in less then 3 weeks. Thanks!

the electrical outlets are the same, so you won't need to worry about bringing a converter!

i think it might be getting into the "rainy season" in the DR, but i don't think it generally rains a lot. from what i have heard, it can rain almost everyday, but just for 15 minutes and then it clears up.

                    good luck!!

Thanks Pam! That makes me feel so much better about the rain:).

                      Best!
