I do have my heart set on the beach wedding, that is the main reason I chose to have a destination wedding. I want the sand in my toes. So the photographer and WC should be able to keep the people at a reasonable distance if asked?

Once people see a wedding their general reaction is to crowd around. The WC when setting up the area will pull chairs back to a certain point, and they sometimes assign guards to usher people by at the beach by in my experience the guards just tend on holding a crowd there. During the actual wedding the WC will not ask people to step back or go away or anything because they are actively involved in the ceremony.

I can only speak for myself as a photographer but I am way too busy taking photos to ask people to step away or leave because they are unsightly.

The truth is - its a busy beach and if you choose to have it at that location there will be people watching. Some will be in swimsuits, some will be topless etc. If you have the ceremony at say 5 or 6 pm there will be less people on the beach.

Once you are there I suggest going to check out another wedding and if you don't like the amount of people they will switch it to the Gazebo for you.

This is not something that is exclusive to the Majestic, basically any beach ceremony at any resort will have the same problem.

good point. I guess i'll just go expecting it; but at the same time just ignore the people. HOpefully they will have enough common courtesy to not come to close...especially if they are topless! I'll be having my dream of getting married on the beach; and that will be the only thing that matters!

That is definitely the right attitude to have. I have had a couple brides ask me beforehand to get a shot of a guy in a speedo in the background with them in the foreground if I can. They found it funny.

Dinner I believe can start at 6:30...but not 100% sure. I know 7 definitely because that's what I am doing. 3pm is a fine time but realize the beach is very crowded still at that time. If you are 100% fine and can tune everyone out then go for it. The WC do not block people from getting close so realize video/pics could have a lot of beach goers in them. If this is not ok go for a later time because I know you said the beach is your dream wedding spot. Otherwise everything will be perfect and beautiful!

are you getting married on the beach?

I wanted to do a little later....4 or 5 but she told me 3 was the only time they had for that week!! I can't believe it fills up that fast! Does anyone know where on the beach you are married? Is it set off to the side a little?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
