Hello Ladies!

This is fantastic thread! I have been away from the board for some time as we had to postpone our wedding. We were supposed to get married November 05/09 We are now looking at the last 2 weeks of April 2010 and waiting for a confirmation from Sandra.

My fiancé and I went to the Majestic on vacation this March/April. We thought it would be a great opportunity to see the resort and get all our questions answered. I have to say this resort rocks and for all of us that have chosen this resort for our wedding we will no be disappointed. I saw so many weddings taking place while we were there that it was great to see what other brides were doing and also how it all comes together at the resort. I only have great things to say! If you have any questions about the resort feel free to email me I will be happy to help. [email protected] I also have lots of resort pictures.

My only disappointment and concern is that when we arrive to the resort I requested to see the wedding coordinator. My first 3 request were not even acknowledged, I was told by customer relations that Sandra will leave a note in our room with a meeting time… well it took 4 attempts and 10 days to see Sandra. I know she was very busy but it would have been nice to at least know that she would see us eventually. 3 days prior to our departure I went back to request a meeting and finally saw her the day before we left. On the meeting, we discussed possible dates for April. She was not able to give me the new price list for 2010 as it was not finalized yet and Sandra had agreed to email me at home confirming the availability of the judge for our wedding date….. well I have been home for a month and I am still waiting to hear from her. I have sent 2 emails and nothing… so I am a little frustrated with that…I am waiting around for a date confirmation. I only met Sandra never met her assistant so I wonder if anyone else has been in touch with anyone else other than Sandra? If you have please let me know…

Happy planning everyone! Lscilley thanks for starting the thread it is fantastic!! and thank you all for all the great information!

Hi Veronica,

sorry to hear about your frustrations with Sandra!

Every time I have emailed Maritee, she has gotten back to me pretty fast...but I am in the preliminary stages of planning so my questions are pretty easy for now...

when are you getting married in APril 2010? My date is confirmed for April 22nd at 3pm.

DO you have a photographer booked yet?

I am looking to share travel costs...

good luck with your planning :)

Hi Jess!

I was looking at April 21 or 22 or 28 or 29. I hope I can get a confirmation soon. I want a beach ceremony at 4:30 PM

So if my dates work out for the week of April 18 we might be there at the same time!

We don't have a photographer booked. We were just going to use Kico at the resort. I saw his work while we were there and its good. Do you have a photographer picked?

Jess do you have a direct e-mail address for Maritee? I have these

'[email protected] & [email protected]

Thanks!

Thanks for this great thread! I just found out that my wedding has been cancelled in Mexico. We have decided to hold it at the Majestic Elegance Resort if they have a day available for our wedding. All this information has made my planning process much easier thank you so much! Soon I will be adding my date, sometime between June 8th and June 11th :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
