Hey chicas!! I got the 2010 prices!!!!!!

I finally heard back from Maritee after calling and having to resend the email I sent them in March because they said they did not receive it and now 2 days after resending the email I got the pricing list for 2010.

 

Note** They said they have been having problems with their emails because many people have already complained about not getting responses. So make sure they get your emails, call if you must.

 

Anyways, the pricing is not that much different. Everything is the same price except for two things. The wedding package for a civil ceremony is $1750 BUT it DOES NOT include live SAXO music. On the original post it was $1500 and $1750 with saxo. She said they are not offering the saxo at this time. Symbolic is still $1250. The other difference, which is not that much of a difference but its better, the DJ, its $600 for 3 hours and $225 each additional hour. I believe the original posting just said $225 per hour, so in actuality you'd be saving $75 for the first 3 hours.

 

Another added bonus I just noticed is that instead of getting 10% off Spa treatment for the couple, now its complimentary and you get the use of the humid area (as if its not humid enough down there ) I guess that means the sauna?? But no mention on the horseback riding discount.

 

And like I said, everything else is exactly the same. I literally just got it like 5 minutes ago and quickly compared the prices to this posting so if I find anything else I'll be sure to let you all know.

I will be going to the DR next month and staying at Majestic for a couple of nights for the purpose of checking the place out and meeting the coordinators and determining if I want my wedding at the Colonial or the Elegance. They won't set an appointment for that meeting until one or two weeks before I get there for some reason but if there's anything else anyone wants me to ask or check out let me know. I will take pictures and post.

Hi Everyone! I am newly engaged and loving this site!!

 

Thank you so much for the fantasic post! Lost of information I have been trying to find on the website but haven't been able to. :-) I am currently in the process of booking our wedding at the Majestic Colonial for this December and am so excited, though a bit confused about some things....

 

If this is an all inclusive 24 hour resort, how can they charge for an open bar? Aren't drinks all included? It seems to me that having a privtae reception with dinner and drinks at this resort will cost just as much as it would to do it at home.

 

Can anyone shed anymore light on the pricing?

I also agree with aeaton3 about them charging for the Open Bar when it already is included with the hotel stay at least the National drinks should not be charged extra. I will ask Maritee when I meet with her.

Photography of Ceremony with half an hour after ceremony for a beach or garden session with the newlywed couple, two sets of 50 Photographs printed in 6â€x 8†format, the photos will vary from Color to B/W to Sepia. Cost, US$550.00

 

Silver Package:

Pre wedding session of Photography with a total of 20 pictures preferably 1 day before wedding, Photography of preparation of bride and groom in rooms, photography of ceremony, with an hour after ceremony for a beach or garden session with the newlywed couple, two sets of 100 photographs printed in 6â€x 8†format, 10 photographs printed in 8â€x 12†as selected by couple, a DVD presentation of Photographs with music, the photos

will vary from Color to B/W to Sepia.

And different from other companies of Photography ALL packages are accompanied with a CD-Rom with the Photographs selected that serves as negatives.

Is this package for the Majestic Colonial? I thought we had to pay for the Bouquet and boutonniere seperate? Or is it really included in the package? Because that would be really cool!!!
