I am new to this site and have just recently booked at the ME for 11/9/12! I have been thinking about doing a cocktail hour and was wondering what everyone thought of the hors d'oeuvres and if anyone could tell me the price breakdown?

Haha yes you should do that for sure! come and celebrate your 30th with us!! We are arriving on the 23! its the 6 month countdown!!

I am thinking of doing a cocktail hour as well.  Our ceremony at the ME is at 1:30, so I thought cocktails around 2:30 so we can do speeches and hang out before dinner at 6:30...

Not sure if you have got a response. My wedding is April 12th, 2012 and I booked a private reception on beach with party, there is a per person fee if you do this way, but I'm thinking it will be worth it. Once booked with Majestic they send you price list and pics of the set up they do in their various locations. The beach looked wonderful with tables, DJ, candles, dance floor at night...I went for it right away!

Phil Steingard stays at the ME and they do not charge him the $300 outside  vendor fee.

We looked for a long time and have booked Julia Eskin. She is from Canada and lives in Punta Cana (we are getting married at the Jellyfish but staying at ME)  Katya Nova also does amazing photography (also from Canada and lives in PC)

Can somebody please answer a question.... I know that ME and MC share a casino, but can guests go between he resorts fairly easily? We are staying at ME but right now there are NO regular rooms available, only adults only... so, we were wondering if we should refer those who want to save a little money to book at the MC??  We are getting married at the Jellyfish but would like to do a welcome cocktail hour at the ME- if people stay at MC could they come over?? Anyone who knows the answer to this, please share! Thank you!!
