OH my god,

I am getting married 8/12/11, I have not heard that things have went up. I will email my WC to see if things have changed. Do you have a travel agent? IF so have them call.

Hi MC and ME Brides! I am getting married in January 2012, we are staying at the ME, but chose an offsite location for the ceremony and reception. We would however like to have our grooms dinner/welcome dinner at the ME. Has anyone had their grooms dinner at the ME? How did you go about getting tables reserved for your party at the restaurant? What restaurants are available for large groups (60+)? I asked my previous wedding coordinator at the ME if she would be able to help me with that, but since we cancelled our wedding with ME and are having it elsewhere, she said she wouldn't be able to help. Anyone else have this issue?

I'm staying at the ME but getting married off site also.  We're planning a "welcome dinner" and was told to email [email protected] I've already emailed them about making reservations, they request that we contact them about 2 weeks before hand as they have events going on but it is still early to know when.  After all my research I saw that people say that welcome dinner's are only reserved in the buffets but he said we can do it otherwise if there is no events.. I figure we'll have the welcome dinner at the buffet but if they let us do it in a restaurant I'll be happy with that, don't want to get our hopes up.

This is actually what was said:

we can coordinate a nice welcome dinner in one of the restaurants for the group, and you can contact us two weeks before to coordinate which restaurant and set up a menu so you can receive a private service for this special night.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
