I got married Jan.13/11 at MC and even in November, the resort was sold out so last minutes guests didn't end up booking. I know there are circumstances where some can't book until last minute....so I hope it all works out for you.

Re: bracelets, yes, groomsmen and bridesmaids are allowed to cut it off, just keep it in a safe place and bring it with you the next day to get a replacement. It's not a big deal at all...

I hope this helps!

Let me know if there are any other questions I can help with!

Hi Everyone

I am booked for an August 2, 2011. wedding at the Majestic Elegance but have yet to get a confirmation since I am trying to get a different time with the judge. I am booked for 12 pm but I was hoping for 6pm. I asked for a gazebo wedding with a private reception at the wet bar. I haven't received a package of what they serve. I was wondering if anyone can tell me if it is worth getting an open bar. If the decorations are nice or i should get my own etc.. I am excited about it but more nervous. I am also having problems getting all my guests into the hotel. Not even sure if my travel agent booked us at this point. Never thought August would be so busy. I only saw 2 reviews on the Hotel and was hoping that someone could tell me how their weddings went and what I should watch out for. Thanks :)

I would definately make sure you get a confirmation and have everything set before you book your trip.  Open bar is really expensive and not worth it in my opinion, but that just depends on your budget.

I've been to Punta Cana but I haven't been to this resort yet but I'll be there on Saturday.  The reason the beach would close at this time is because it's dark.  The sun goes down pretty early. I'm sure you can still access the beach and they'll have security but it wouldn't be recommended.  It would be the same for all resort.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
