Majestic Colonial or Elegance Brides Post Here

Recommended Posts

I booked with Phil Steingard yesterday!  There is another bride getting married 2 days before so we can share the cost.  I'm so excited.  7 months to go!

Hope everyone's planning is going well.

I booked my trip to Punta for March on Orbitz.com.  They were alittle better than all the TA quotes.  The only thing that it doesn't include was our transfers which we will get later or take a cab.  I'm not too worried since I do speak spanish.

I haven't had to chat with my WC, Sandra in a over a month.  She answered all my questions the first month and now I'm ok.

Hi Chendy901-

I am the bride that has Phil Steingard scheduled for 3/3/11 :) . I was considering doing chair sashes on my own and stuff, but also I am finding that shipping to PC will be more difficult than I had expected. So we will have to bring everything with us on the flight and I am thinking it will not be as easy as I would like.

Did you decide if you are doing your own sashes or if you are using the resorts?

I too would like to book DJ Mannie but didnt budget myself for it so I don't think it will work out. Anyways, if you are interested in sharing supplies, etc. primate message me!

Hey Abby!  That's so cool you found me.  So you are at the Elegance or Colonial?  I think i'm going to use their stuff but bring things like the cake topper, ribbons, etc.  I don't want to ship and really just don't want to research all that stuff.  I read in another post that their stuff is good and worth it.  I saw their yellow slashes and pictures they have with that color scheme and I liked it.  My girls are wearing buttercup dresses.

I arrive March 2.  Did you book your flights?  I saw this post after your message!  :)  So you can just email me!  :)

Hi! I have a question that I hope someone can answer..............I may have around 100 people at my wedding! I am 90% sure Majestic is the location, Elegance is my first pick. Can anyone tell me what my options are for a wedding reception this size?

And has anyone heard of a Private beach ceremony? (like paying extra or somthin?) I would love to try and have a semi private ceremony with my guests on the beach.

Thanks Gals!

i really don't think they have a private beach ceremony.  the beach is open to all guests at anytime, so it will not be private.  you can choose a time when fewer people would be on the beach, but that is probably as private as you would get.

your options for a reception are the Preidential Suite (i think it can accomodate up to 100 people), the Ballroom, or the Wet Bar (i am not positive that the Wet Bar can accomodate such a big number, but i think it could.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
