Majestic Colonial or Elegance Brides Post Here

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone,

I leave in 2 days for my wedding and I will definitely post a review when I come home. I am having my wedding on the colonial side and doing a 2nd week at the elegance club. Let me know if you have any questions and I can try to get them answered for you too. I can't believe a year has come and gone. Time flies! Congrats and good luck planning, your day will be here before you know it.

As for times, we are doing ours at 4pm. We are having a symbolic ceremony with Pastor York and doing a first look moment and pictures before with Phil Steingard. I can't wait to meet both of them! We also booked Diego from Brightlights for our video.

Congrats and I hope everything goes smoothly for you! You must be so excited!!! Enjoy every moment of it...I'm sure the day will just fly by.

If you wouldn't mind, can you see how far the nearest bar is to either the Parrot or Wet Bar?

Can't wait to see your pictures!

Thanks for the suggestion! They only had 5pm for a civil ceremony for the day that we wanted. We wanted to do our wedding on a Thursday since direct flights are only offered on Sat and Sun and I dont want our guests to have to worry about waking up for a flight the day after a wedding... So 3/3/11 at 5 pm it is... However, you had a great point about pictures... Any suggestions what we should to get around this? I dont really want to do pictures before hand and I do not know what time the sunsets in the DR.

Wow! Congrats, it will be a blast! If you dont mind once you get to the Elegance side could you take note of 1) how far the steakhouse is from Parrots Bar 2) how far Parrots is from bar and 3) if the piano bar area is a good place for cocktails in your opinion

Hi,

Mine is at 5pm. I contemplated having it earlier, but ended up deciding against just in case it was really hot that day. I figured by 5 it may cool down and it also gives guests the option to enjoy the pool for most of the day! Good luck:)

hey everyone, so after getting a price list and deciding on a resort, it turns out that the airline will NOT fly out of our location to Punta Cana on the dates we need to travel. Actually, they won't even fly after March 1st! Sooo we either will have to drive 6 hours to the next international airport or change our location altogether. We are absolutely not impressed with our travel agent.... I may not get to join you all at the Majestic after all! sad.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
