I looked into this place when I was deciding locations, it does sound amazing but I am a research type of person and was so scared to book a place with no one to ask how it went. But I know a few girls on tripadvisor have booked with them.

I am considering booking a place that is also under construction...scary. But I assume it has been done before. Anyone know how to get comfortable with it

Basically my advice is not to book a resort, especially for a wedding within the first 6 months of the property being scheduled to open. There are always delays and opening issues- no matter where the resort is located (in the Caribbean, Mexico or almost any tropical location) nor the star rating! Generally within 6 months everything has worked out nicely and the resort is fully operational!

I looked into this resort for our honeymoon and while the prices were reasonable, the all inclusive was $350 a day per couple. The room rate was only 249. Really nice resort, but way out of my budget.

So where did you end up having your wedding? I'm curious because I am also planning a wedding 125+ people. The Solis has a summer special 149/night rate. Any feedback?
