We had plans with friends, BUT, my daughter got exposed to Chicken Pox on Christmas day (her cousins broke out the next day and the day after) and my friends DH has never had them and he starts his training with the OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) tomorrow, so he could not chance getting them. So we stayed home with a sick baby and got take out and watched a movie. She woke up at 11:50 crying, so we were up for midnight, otherwise we would have been asleep :)

well, we tried to go to a party, but Gwen had other ideas. we actually did go to the party, but gwen would NOT go to sleep and insisted on yelling at everyone all night (read: crying a LOT). so we went home around 10pm, put her to bed, and watched some TV. then we went to bed around 12:30 - woohoo!

I was pretty disappointed with my New year. We had plans with friends but they ended up inviting another couple. We don't particularly care for this couple because there is a history of this girl being jealous of our friendship. She flipped a lid when we all went to Jamaica together. Well, we backed out and went out with another couple who had asked us out but we declined a few days earlier. We called them on the off chance they were not busy and they were not later in the evening. It's my husbands childhood best friends. I really like them as people but find his wife very dull. We were playing a game when she decided we would stop to watch the ball drop. She then proceeded to put the half played game away so we watched the ball drop and went home. It was a very boring night. The plus side was my husband and I went out for dinner just the two of us. We rarely do that so it was sweet.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
