We have! Ours will be on November 21, 2013! Oh my goodness I'm getting so excited, even if it is...300+ days away. Gloria has been such a doll with my countless emails and questions.

Just curious, when are you sending your invites out and when are you getting people to RSVP by?

Thank you TealMarie!

Currently we have November 21 booked (which I just realized is the same day as yours!!), but I might change it to November 18 (and have my guests fly there on November 16 - we prefer departure on a Saturday). Still waiting to hear back from my agent.

I haven't started looking at dresses yet...was hoping to lose some weight before I try them on!cheesy.gif

Oh my gosh, how fun! We could be date twins at the same resort! It sounds like no matter what you decide, we'll be there at the same time. We're flying in on the 17th (Sunday) and we're going to stay for two weeks.

Just remember for dresses that it usually takes 6 months to get them in and then you will most likely need it altered. I went dress shopping a week ago and everyone at the stores told me that I should order my dress within the next month (just so you don't end up feeling stressed).

It's so nice to see you "date-twins" sharing info and support.......what makes this forum such a valuable resource, for sure!

Wishing everyone happy planning, easy decisions, and that you end up having the Most Amazing Wedding celebrations you've Dreamed of......Enjoy :)

Oh no, maybe I should start dress shopping soon then!

You are going for two weeks? Wow...We are only staying for 1 week (even then I'm worried that some guests won't be able to stay for all 7 nights) Right now I'm having a hard time deciding whether to do Nov 16 - 23 or Nov 19 - 26, 'cos the former is more expensive.

Btw where are you having your wedding? I like the beach gazebo but I want to be able to wear high heels, so I will probably use the pier instead. There's the beautiful ocean surrounding the pier, but I can't stop imagining strong wind on my wedding day which might blow my guests away into the water oops.gif

Well we had decided on one week for sure but then realized it wouldn't be too much more to add an additional week. We're going to be seeing family and friends we never get to see and we will probably end up spending very little time together just the two of us, so we'll have a little honeymoon after everyone is gone. It's definitely expensive mind you!

We're having the ceremony on the beach as I've always pictured walking along the sand to meet him. I also am terrible in heels so it gives me a good excuse to go barefoot or rather in beautiful barefoot sandals!

The pier would be so beautiful to have your ceremony and I doubt anyone has been blown into the water, lol. Have you found any photos of other brides getting married on the pier? Maybe you can tell from people's hair how windy it is.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
