dst10spr97- Once I finish it, I will definitely post it. I would love to have it almost completed by the end of August. Hopefully that gives you enough time.

Below is a link to another thread that has a day of timeline:

We just booked officially for October 8-13th at Dunn's River. Just got my confirmation. We are getting married on October 10th at 11am. I wanted to do it in the morning for better pics and hopefully it won't be so hot. I don't want to pass out saying my vows. Also did someone mention that you can just order all of the other stuff when you get there such as al cart photos, videographer, decorations, etc. We've already paid for the room, I'm just trying to get an idea of what else I would need to pay for in advance since our final payment is due beforehand. I believe our receipt says final payment due 8/24/2009 however I though it was due 30 days before? Hmmmmm That's a little earlier than 30.
Yes, you can order a la carte items when you get there!

avb1983- It's been about a month since I talked to my stateside wedding coordinator. I am working with Nina. She has been easy to work with. Who are you working with? We communicate by email. That way I have a paper trail.

You have accomplished a lot in just a little over a month! I have been engaged since February 2008 and we booked SGOR in March 2008. This forum is the best resource!! I have gained 99.9% of my knowledge from past brides on this forum. Please ask away...

TA Jennifer- So I asked my travel agent to request for a garment bag....he called my wedding coordinator from the resort and they told him it is a newer promotion that they are doing and that they only ship them out 1 month before the wedding date...so my TA said we will request again in Oct because my wedding is in Nov....is this what they are doing??

JamaicaBride I usually kick AKA's to the curb but you have been so sweet and helpful I think I'll keep you around (my soon to be sister in law and one of my best friends is an AKA as well and I harrass them all day every day). smile03.gif

dst10spr97 - yes, you can order everything else when you get there. I know a number of brides on the site that ordered everything once they got to the resort.

Both of my fiancé’s aunt's are Delta's and we go back and forth all of the time. His younger cousin starts college in the fall and they have told her to remember the red and the white and I said no pink and green all the way!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
