Sandals Resorts DW Brides 2009 - Jamaica, St. Lucia, Antigua & Bahamas

Recommended Posts

Welcome to all of the Sandals destination wedding Brides for 2009 (of course the 2010 brides are more than welcome!)!

I wanted to start a new thread for all of you to be able to chat, ask questions and share info!

My name is Jennifer and I am the resident Sandals specialist on the board.

My agency is a Sandals Preferred agency-which means I have the inside scoop on all things Sandals, Beaches and Royal Plantation and conatcts with the general managers, wedding coordinators and staff members- I even have my own personal contact within Sandals that is available to me 24 hours a day- 7 days a week plus Adam Stewarts cell phone number! I've been to all of the resorts, many of them several times over the last year. And I'll also tell you how it is, as you'll see I may not recommend a certain room category!

Please keep in mind that while I love to answer questions and help all DW brides -that this is a volunteer position (ie. I get no compensation from BDW or Sandals directly to promote them on the forum) and I may not be able to respond to questions or PMs for those who are not my clients in a timely fashion. Of course my clients will always come first as I am sure you would all agree and also expect from your travel agent! I also may have inside information or photo's that I only share with my clients so please don't get upset if I can't honor a request. However whenever I can I will be most glad to share and answer questions!

So without further ado........post away!smile159.gif

Also thanks for starting a new thread. I am a July 2009 Beaches bride not Sandals, but all in the same family. Honeymooning at Sandals Grande. I also have found this website to be very helpful. Looking forward in meeting more future brides to discuss their plans and exactly where everyone is at in their planning process. Talk to ya soon.

TA Jennifer

Yes, I am a Beaches Boscobel bride. I have my two girls attending so we needed a family resort. I have only stayed at a Sandals resorts each time I have been to Jamaica so it wasn't time to change now. I did stay at Boscobel Beach before Beaches owned it back in 1999 and love it. Sandals didn't have a family resort yet. So now that Beaches owns it, it can only be better.

No, I have not. We picked this resort because it has more options for our guests. We have a very diverse group coming to our wedding(different ages, drinkers and non drinkers).

This site has beeen a huge help. Iriebride gave a very detailed review about the resort. HollisandSteph, Bridget and Amanda have also been great with providing imformation about the resort and sharing their experiences and pictures.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
