Anyone on Weight Watchers Momentum?

I've done Weight Watchers before and I lost the weight that I gained from quitting smoking. I wanted to get back on the wagon, but they are doing a new program. Is anyone doing the new Weight Watchers Momentum program? Can you tell me how it is different from the old Flex program?

Thanks!!

I am. It's not really different... they just put the accent on "filling foods", that I naturally eat anyway so for me it did not change anything. Oh, they got rid of the "core plan" though. You can only be on flex now (I think).

Still working. I lost 22 lbs so far. I started Sept 1st and since one month I've done nothing but eating : trip to France - 10 days -, trip to mexico - tasting the wedding menus-, Christmas with FIL, Christmas lunch, my birthday, the home-made cookies from the office colleagues... still lost 4 lbs in the last month ! It's really fantastic.

I just went to a Weight Watchers meeting today to join. I was on WW back at the end of 2007 for a few months and lost some weight but fell off track. My wedding is in July 2009 and I needed to get back on track and made the move today. The Momentum program is really not different from the Flex Program they had before - pretty much the same. Tomorrow is my start date! I am ready.

Hmmmm, they got rid of the core program? That's the one I used last year and liked. I am not a fan of the flex program, although, I guess I could try it.

I lost about 10 lbs before my wedding, but they're baaaaaaaaaaaaack (Poltergiest reference). So I was just asking my mom yesterday if she would join with me. She said no, can you beleive that! Oh well, I think I am going to join next paycheck (not getting paid for 6 weeks cuz of Christmas makes this pay period realllllly tight.)

I just joined online last week and I agree that not much has changed. Supposedly the "filling foods" that they talk about are similar to the core program.

Yeah, about the activity points, I put in the step class I did yesterday and it gave me 12 extra points! Umm, that's great and all, but I'm trying to lose weight not gain it, I don't need that many extra points! I thought it was going to give me like 2 extra points. If I did step 5 days a week I'd end up with 60 extra points a week!

Does that not sound odd to anyone?

The Core program still exists, but it is called Filling Foods. I think you are supposed to track points for the first three weeks, and then you can switch to the Filling Foods program. I did Core breifly before and it worked well, but I fell off the wagon sad.gif

12 points sounds a little extreme! Maybe the points calculator was buggy. I know that sometimes happens...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
