I considered doing postcards for RSVP's, but my FI insisted it was tacky & that his sisters would surely comment on it. Funny how none of them actually RSVP's anyway!

I did pocket fold invites, so I was just going to make my RSVP insert into a postcard by addressing the reverse side & sticking a stamp on it.

Make sure you meet the US Postal requirements if you do this:

You may think that your mailpiece is a "card," because it is a single sheet of paper. But to qualify for mailing at First-Class Mail card rates, a card must be:

  • Rectangular
  • At least 3-½ inches high x 5 inches long x .007 inch thick
  • No more than 4-¼ inches high x 6 inches long x .016 inches thick

I'm trying this out with my STD's. i sent 2 boarding passes per STD and pre-stamped the second one so that they can mail back as a prelim RSVP. I just mailed them last week and gave them until July 4th to respond (1year before the wedding).

I haven't mailed mine out yet. Can you keep us posted on how the RSVPs come along? I'm wondering how many people are going to respond to them.

We made 80 STD's to send out and included a postcard to give a tentative reply. But we got 40 of them mailed before my dad got sick and we stopped sending them until we decided to postpone the wedding. We gave people until the end of April to send them back (to beat the postal increase in May). So far we've gotten 22 back (9 yes and 12 no).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
