we are going to our friends house, she lives in the Bronx...hopefully we'll leave early enough and not be stuck in any traffic going over the bridge.

I personally would love to stay home, in my PJs with my man, My animals and some food watching Dick Clark and MTV all night. At midnight I'd like to say happy new year and then head to bed....However...My FI is younger then me (5 years) and he is still in the, "we gotta do something on NYE" Phase...

Luckily my sister has a party every single year, and I have been going every single year....So that's where we'll be tomorrow night. She has lots of good food...Usually a good crowd and lots to drink. I just made 180 Jello Shots (They are my specialty) and they are ALWAYS a big hit. I would have had to have made them even if FI did give in and stay home with me :)

NYE has never been my fav..I live in South Philly, so New Years Day is the big thing here...We get up early & head to broad street to drink & watch the MUMMERS strut their stuff all day. Then, since so many people have open houses, you travel from house to house to eat, get warm and see people you only see on New Years day.

Now that I am older, even New Years days has lost it's magic, bt when I was a teenager...Actually even 5 years ago, I couldn't wait for Christmas to be over, so New Years day would get here. There is nothing like New Years Day in Philly..The Mummers are the heart of this city for sure :)

The best thing about this New Years?

Once its over, my 6 month countdown to the Wedding is on!! :-)

I'm going to be staying home celebrating NYE with my mom, having some drinks and going to bed early (we both suck at staying up until midnight).

FH is in Chile with his family again this year so he's spending it with them again (even though he promised me we'd spend it together this year).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
