Please let me know if you get any information on a better way to get into contact with them or hear back from them. I called today to speak with someone but they said the wedding specialist went to lunch. I left all my contact information and am hoping to hear back soon.  Thanks, Mindy

We used http://weddingbellesjamaica.com/ . I was in contact Jo-Anne. She was fantastic. She did up gift bags for us which where delivered to the hotel. There was a bunch of stuff you could select from (rum, sauces, coffee, etc) In regards to sky lanterns.. I didn't have them myself, but I have used them.. you need two people at least to set them off.. (one needs to hold while the other lights it) so one per couple is more then enough.
Thanks so much!!

Has anyone who is having or had their wedding at the Grand heard or had to pay extra money on top of the $100 day pass to have their non-Iberostar guests stay for dinner and dancing?

My wedding is next week and I just heard of this! The documents state 100 for "wedding festivities" dinner and dancing is part of the "festivities."

Anyone else had this issue or did you end up paying just $100 day pass?

Hello all,

Just curious if any of you brides out there were able to have a priest come to the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites resort to perform your Catholic wedding ceremony?

I emailed Nicole and Tiffany but thought I would try to see if anyone here had success with this.

If you did do this, how much extra was it and did you have to bring some paperwork from your own church to prove you did marriage classes and that your parish approves?

I have read different things: some websites say Catholic priests do not come to resorts and will only marry you in a church in Montego Bay, other says the the Rose Hall resorts and Sandals resorts have had Catholic priests do it.

Just curious....thanks a lot for the information :)

Can't comment on it on getting a Catholic priest to the resort.. but if its to be a true Catholic ceremony, does it not have to be in a Church? My Catholic friends all had to get married in a church to follow the church's strict guidelines.

If you can't find one that will do it, you may want to get married at home in the church, then have a 'renewal' on the beach?

Hey Kassi,

I am hoping to be able to have a Catholic priest be able to do the wedding in Jamaica.  I know I may have to get married here and do the renewal on the beach but I would rather not do that.  I ruins the Jamaican ceremony for me a little.  I want one ceremony and I want it to be the real deal lol :)

Nicole or Tiffany hasnt responded to me yet about the Catholic priest coming to Iberostar so well see!!!!!!

Thanks Kassi!!

Hey Julia,

As far as catholic priests ... I think Karen is right, in order to be recognized a catholic ceremony, it must be done in a catholic church. The resort may be able to find you a catholic priest, but you may have to get married offsite. There is a bride who booked Stephen Henriques, a rabbi to do a Jewish ceremony, it is costing her $800, plus I believe you would have to pay a vendor fee on top of it. I'm not sure if the resort suggested him, or she found him herself. It might be worth finding out though.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
