Is anyone able to give me an estimate on how much is for flight and stay for a weeks vacation for their guest? We would be flying from Toronto to Jamaica. If someone could give me an idea of how much it cost, that would be awesome.

our travel agent quoted us $1596 each tax incl for one week all inclusive next January at IRHB. hoping it will drop a bit before booking!

Thanks for your response.  I am excited that the water around the hotel looks like that!  So with the catamaran can you plan to take it out anytime, anywhere for free?  I have always been confused reading about it
 

The underwater shots were right off the beach at the hotel.  Even the beginning of the video is the water right next to the hotel.  It wasn't stock footage.  The videographers took it upon themselves to go snorkling with the camera for the footage.  As far as the boat, it's the free catamaran rental.  They really went above and beyond what we could have expected. 

 

To be honest, when we were in the water, we never thought the video would end up as clear as it did.

Which resort specifically? The Iberostar has three resorts at different price points.

 

Pricing also depends on timing but generally, I think you'll be looking at about the following:

Beach - 1600-1800 taxes in

Suites - 1800-2000 taxes in

Grand - 2000+

 

Try selloffvacations.com, expedia, flight center or some other site for an idea.

Hi all,

 

Our wedding is 10 months from today at the Suites (woot!) and I'm wondering what others have done regarding providing Nicole with ceremony, reception, welcome party, etc. choices in advance. I know there's lots of time, but we basically already know what we want to do when and where.

 

Do you recommend emailing Nicole with our requests now? Is it best to use the final details sheet? I'm thinking it might be as it's in a format she and Tiffany are very familiar with.

 

I'd prefer to send our requests in sooner then later in case there are questions or requests that can't be met for whatever reason. It would give us a chance to make alternate choices early on (if needed) rather than plan for something that we find out at the 11th hour that we can't do.

 

I'd appreciate any guidance in this matter - thanks in advance!

 

Oh, and if we should start using the final details form now, would someone be so kind to share it with me? Thanks!

Our guests paid $1680 taxes included to stay at the Suites from January 5, 2012-January 12, 2012.  It was the best price I was able to find, but one of the factors on picking a specific date was based on prices, trying to make it the most affordable.

Hi, All!

 

Just wanted to say that I have officially changed my date to May 4, 2013.  This is final since we signed a contract with our travel agent and the hotel.  We changed the date because hotel room rates were much cheaper.  Thus, if anyone is looking for April 6, 2013 at the Suites, it should be open (unless someone all the sudden took it in the last few hours)!

Wow, you got a great deal!! I checked with about 8 different agents and none of them came close. I guess date was a factor though, we were looking for April.

I am trying to decide between a resort DJ or going with DJ Kevan Stewart.

I see only rave reveiws for Kevan so I know this would be a good decision.

However, I am curious about the resort DJ and how well they performed. 

I think using the resort DJ may be a little easier and cheaper than using an outside DJ. 

Any reviews, advice and insight are greatly appreciated!

Does anyone know if you can buy sparkles in Jamaica? I really want them at the reception but I do not think it would be possible to get them through cutoms.
