Iberostar Rose Hall Brides - Post all info/questions here!

Recommended Posts

Ugh, so gotta love all the different answers the WC's give. I emailed Nicole (Suites) to ask 1) What the actual cost was for the photographer the day of (vendor fee), 2) If I had to pay a vendor fee to have flowers dropped off from an outside florist, and 3) If I had to pay for my makeup artist (Rashel) to come and leave afterwards.

I know others have answered these questions, but just wanted it in writing. So in response, Tiffany answered that 1) the vendor fee is just the $100 dollars, 2) I do not have to pay a vendor fee for an outside florist, 3) but she did answer that I have to pay the $100 to have Rashel come and leave. I know other's have said they don't charge as long as she's not staying. Kind of frustrating. Wonder if they even really read the questions sometimes! stupid.gif It's hard to really nail down a budget with that confusion. I'm sure it'll all go fine when the time comes and they probably won't charge, but I was hoping to get that in writing....

This is a tough one.  Part of me wants to say plan to make at least 40 OOT bags.  You can always sell or give the extra stuff away to family who couldn't make it.  RSVP's can be frustrating.  I'm starting to think the RSVP courtesy is a thing of the past but I also think its just tacky not to do so.

As far as numbers you give the resort, you are only charged for those who actually show up.  Nicole goes over your final things list when you meet with her a couple of days before the wedding.  Pretty much anything can be changed on that list.  My numbers changed slightly and it was no problem.

My RSVP date was july 22.  I sent out 200 invitations.  As of Saturday I have received about 90 replies..

Here is my question...I have 50 guests that replied yes, but know of only 30 that have confirmed their rooms.  I sent an email out last monday asking them to notify me that they have confirmed their rooms if they did not use my TA.

I know I need to turn in a head count shortly..and I want to prepare for favors and OOT bags...50 and 30 is a big difference..

What do you guys recommend..preparing for 50 or 30....

then question for past brides...how do they charge you if at the ceremony only 25 people show up do they charge you that or the 30 you informed them were coming. (referring to the $18/person over 8 people for the ceremony)

That's a great question. I hope someone answers because I was just thinking of that the other day.

With the headtable being included as part of decoration, is that anyway you want?

Cake cutting/serving supplies are provided.  I do not even remember what they looked like.  We did our toast on the beach immediatley following ceremony, so yes they provided those but I'm assuming you would either ask that they hold this toast until reception or do an additional one inside.  Neither should be a problem.

You can customize the head table any way you want but the standard decor includes flowers from Tai Flora.  If you want different flowers or other items, it will be a up-charge I am sure.

That is so frustrating!  I am also counting on only the $100 vendor fee, so hopefully that doesn't change until next year.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
