Iberostar Rose Hall Brides - Post all info/questions here!

Recommended Posts

Question to past brides that did a legal ceremony.  Were you able to write your own ceremony script...or did you have to follow the legal version of the minister.  On a thread for a bride in Mexico she said she couldn't alter some of the legal stuff he had to say.  I don't want to waste time composing a ceremony script if I have to use the one they have.

I reserved with the Suites and I did NOT receive a formal contract like the Beach. Hmmm....good ques.? Should I be concerned? If you sign that Starry are you really locked into Tai?

Ok ladies so I have a concern. With all the great reviews that Rashel Edwards (the makeup artist) is receiving I will feel like a fool if I do not book her for my wedding. Especially since she does airbrush and false lashes. I heard that the spa at Iberostar does not apply false lashes, (that makes no sense to me) and I HAVE to have my lashes lol. However, I do not know about the other 2 hotels but the Grand package includes make up with it.

I feel like to pay for her to come and do my makeup and for her travel would be crazy because I am already paying for it in the package. Especially since I have already upgraded or am not using a lot of the things that come with the package, for example: I am bringing my own photographer and videographer, I am not using any flowers included in the package, I am getting married on the staircase so I will not need the huppa are the flowers included with it, and I am paying extra for chavri chairs :(  What do I do?

So, I was thinking maybe I could use my make up session for the TTD the next day and just make sure to use waterproof makeup. How does that sound? Do you think the wedding coordinator would go for that?

Also, since I am not using digipix and I was already told that I cant get refunded or have something extra for that part of the package, I was thinking about using them to take pictures of one of my guest. Her birthday is the day after the wedding and I do not want her to feel like I forgot about her on her birthday. So maybe the could come and take some pictures of her and her husband and she can pick 12 and have them, instead of me just saying oh no I do not need your service. lol  Do you think the resort will go for that? Sorry I have so many questions but paying $3000 for this package and not using all of it is really killing me.

Thanks for your help ladies!

Another question, does Tai Flora really take into consideration that we are upgrading our flowers when we order something that is not in the package or do they just quote us the regular price? Just thinking!

Tooinlove,

I don't know that they will let you use the photographer on a different day...especially if another wedding is using them! But that's a very good question !

I'm waiting to hear back from Tai Flora too...I hope they take into consideration we are upgrading flowers...if not, I'm using the free boutinere on my dad!

I recieved a contract from the Suites but Nicole stated that I did not need to sign it now.  I could if I would like or I could also wait till we arrived.  I don't know if that helps or not but I have not signed the contract yet.

Before I even found this page I was on the Knot under the DW forum. I just happen to stumble upon this website by doing a general web search. So I'm sure there are tons of other brides out there that aren't on this board.

Hey J, I know how you feel. I emailed Jodi back in Feb, never got a response. I emailed her earlier this month and still nothing. I find it unfair that she's our only source of contact. For a company that does business so much, they should more than one rep that is able to accommodate people. Smh. I'm ready to use another company if I don't hear back from Tai-Flora. It's not like their prices are reasonable anyway.

I heard they are pricey.

That's very unfair that they're forcing you to use Tai Flora, when Tai Flora does not reply to any inquiries we have and they're hella expensive.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
