Thanks so much!

'm not getting much but for my boutonnieres (3) corsages (2) and renting 5 vases I was quoted $150

That's crazy you haven't heard anything and your wedding is in 3 weeks! Did you get a hold of the florist without talking to Nicole? I wasn't sure if I had to do that on my own or if the WC would send me info. Obviously everything will be amazing and gorgeous, everyone's wedding pictures from the resort always make it look incredible! It just sucks we're left in the dark so much beforehand. I like things to be organized.

Yes, I skipped nicole and went directly to tai flora.

I'm going to use the cake and i purchased a clay cake topper,  I bought fabric for the huppa and royal blue chair sashes.

Hello MsSmithtobe! I believe we are given a copy of the marriage license, they use the original to get the Official Marriage Certificate from the Registrar General. It takes upto 3 months...I read somewhere.

I just mailed, by Purolator, my notarized documents (passport and birth certficate) to Nicole at the Suites for my wedding May 1st. I'm just waiting to hear back that she received them. She did touch base with me when I scanned them to say they looked good, hopefully she gets them soon.

You leave with a marriage license and I believe we are supposed to get an "official" copy in about 3 months, however we were married in October and we haven't received anything, but the copy we brought home was sufficient to get my husband added to my insurance policy/etc (I didn't change my name but I do work for fed govt and it was sufficient for HR folks).

Hey Jules, my fiance's birth certificate is Canadian (mine is Jamaican, but I grew up in Canada), and his cert. does not have his father's name on it. I scanned the notarized documents and emailed them to Nicole. She said they looked fine, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I read on this forum (way back somewhere) that another bride/groom's birth certificate did not show the fathers name, and it was sufficient.

I took my passport and birth certificate to a Canadian Lawyer who stamped the copies and signed the docs as being notarized. I'm still waiting to see if Nicole got everything and that it's all in order. I'm a little nervous.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
