Iberostar Rose Hall Brides - Post all info/questions here!

Since we booked through an agent our room was taken care of before we got there.  I had transferred to the Grand for a couple days and noticed we hadn't been billed for the wedding.  I went back over to the front desk and they had it there.  Im assuming it would be on your room bill.

But check with your bank because there will be a fee to use you card and of course it is one of those stand alone (kind of shady) ATM with a service fee. We did take $1000 cash for spending money, we just went for a few days, and I was extremely nervous! I am in the same boat, as to what to do for the wedding, becuase like you said that is soooo much cash to carry. angry.gif

Correct me if I'm wrong, does the wedding just get added to your room bill? So whatever card you used to reserve your room, will there still be an extra charge to use it?

@ Burnison09 I believe another bride used Misha's videographer, I used Roxroy..he was very professional, had mics attached to my hubby during the ceremony, and a mic for the speeches...I haven't seen the finished product yet so I can't comment fully on that yet.

Although it would run the risk that it runs out of cash or is out of ordre.

@daizyduke..there is only 1 atm it is at the beaches and it was out of order the whole time we were there.  I put cash in the separate envelopes for each vendor and carried it with me on the plane.  When I got to the resort I put it in the safe in the room.

That's good to know.  The $200 limit is so low!  We'll need about $1500-2000 to take out, minimum, so that's a lot of fees and a lot of hassle too.  Tai Flora doesn't want me to mail a money order, they want bank transfer or credit card.  I'll have to find out what's the more cost-effective option.

@ starrysim...I went to my local bank of america and did the transfer into the account information they gave me..it was free to do the transfer.

Does anyone know the cost for having your dress or suit steamed at the Suites? Just wondering. I'll ask Nicole but I thought this might be a quicker option! ;)

@ kimberli1211....I had my dress steamed when I was there...I can't remember the exact price, but it wasn't much.  I did have a little scare where I was not in my room when they came to return the dress and they do not have keys to the rooms like the maid, so they took it back down to the laundry and left for the day..but I was able to talk to the desk manager who got it for me and brought it to my room...no problems.mon

If there is an ATM machine I guarantee the surcharge is probably rediculus. You may be better off just taking some cash with you.

Erin,

I can't believe we are leaving in a week and half. I've been so excited that I packed over a week ago. Well I'm glad we get to share our wedding day and hopefully we will cross paths on the resort at some point. (Maybe in the nightclub since I'll be at the Beach and I can't go to the Suites until the 7th when I change over to the Grand.)

Congratulations and I hope I get to meet you while we are in Jamaica.

ask silvia when you get there..most often...things are possible in person vs. over the phone.

we had a total of 26 including my husband and i and it worked out really well with one long table...a U shape would be nice too.

good luck AND as always, happy planning!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
