    Nicole misunderstood my request it seems, so we won't be having the lounge furniture on the beach.  They will set up tables and chairs for us.

     

    I plan on doing a review, I'm just so bad with taking pictures lol.  I ordered bags from Ailana Kai, they arrived today YAY!!  I purchased most of the OOT stuff from Target.  Boy oh boy do those dollars add up lol.

      It hadn't occurred to me that it is probably only for certain dates, so you'll have to check your dates! I'm not sure the parameters of the sale. :)

        Ladies,

         

        Does anyone know what the cake options are @ the Suites?  They have listed chocholate, vanilla, fruit and cheesecake.  They mention "other options available upon request."  Has anyone had anything other than these?  How were the cakes you had?

          Here are responses from Nicole to questions I had emailed her.  

           

          1. We would like a Welcome dinner on Sat. Aug. 20th. Can this be at any a la carte restaurant?  From my understanding we can book this upon my arrival Wed., Aug. 17th. Is that right? Will this be free of cost?  We can reserved the restaurant for groups of 25 or more we offer 6:30 or 8:30pm seating the only way we will charge is unless you want the restaurant in private.

           

          2 . For other nights for dinner, how do we book a la carte restaurants as a large group? Does each guest have to do it or can bride do it? Please send the request and we will see how best we can accommodate them at the restaurants

           

          3. We are interested in a cocktail party after the wedding ceremony on Sun., Aug. 21st with only food. If we went with Menu A is it $8.00/person/hr What are the locations? Will all locations be near an open bar? Please view the wedding details with the cocktails locations.

           

           

          4. What are the shape of the tables at the Gourmet Restaurant and Mediterranean Restaurant? How many does each fit? They are square tables we can joined them together and it can seat up 10 people, if its private we can use round tables that seats up to 10 people.

           

          5. We would like a DJ and dance floor in The Gourmet or Mediterranean restaurant.  Is that possible for either? Please find extra service charge for the DJ, Dance floor ranges from $400 up.

           

          6. For flower decorations for the restaurant, can I contact the Tai Flora directly to get prices? Yes you can contact Jodi for that.

           

          7. If we just want a cake and champagne for 40 people what is the cost? I will find the cost and let you know

           

          8. Will it be possible to have guest rooms in same area of hotel?   Once you send the guest list early we will try our best to accommodate the requests.

            Hey ladies, are there any other brides who recently got married at Iberostar Rose Hall Suites, (besides Mrs.Smith who already has given me her input), that can give me feedback about the resort DJ. We're trying to decide if he's worth it or if we should use another type of entertainment.

                Hi Islandgirl910,

                 

                We the resort dj was pretty good! We enjoyed his music. It would have been better if we could have partied in calabash till 1 because the time was limited but we definitely like him! I know some people got DJ's from off the resort but unless that cheaper i would definitely go with the one on the resort.

                    Ladies,

                    Nicole misunderstood my lounge furniture request so unfortunately you'll have to go through Tai flora if it's what you desire.  We are settling with tables and chairs on the beach.

                     

                    I hope to do a planning thread, I'm really bad with taking pictures. 

                     

                    MrsJones thanks for the review.  Congrats on a beautiful day!. I'm having my reception at the Calabash, so happy you enjoyed it.  I too am struggling with Jodi at Tai-flora, it's driving me insane!  I can't get a response even if I paid for it.

                      Thanks for replying Jonesr! I'm going to go read your review. Did he hype your guests up? The reason I'm still iffy is because I heard the resort wants a guest to MC because the DJ doesn't. Is that true or does he amp the crowd up? Outside DJ is about $200 more than the resort DJ not to mention the vendor fee & day pass. That alone right there is $375 - ridiculous! Could so save that rather than spend it! LoL
