Hi Caprice35 (Phillygirl)  Whens your wedding?.. I got quotes from "MrIberostar" and they were pretty much the same as the travel agents..  I just picked Liberty because the payment plans and down payments were a little more flexible...

Nicole sent me a confirmation email.  It may take her a while but she will get back to you.

She uses Funjet vacations but offers a lower rate that you can find online. The price also includes round trip transfers from the airport to the resort. Kelly actually owns the company and is the only person I have ever spoke with at Go Iberostar. Also another good thing, you only have to put $150 deposit per person and then finish the balance a few months before the vacation.

I only have her price info for the Grand but if someone want it just let me know.

I hope this helps,

LaToya

My TA works with Funjet vacations and I am happy with her as well.  I've only had a total of 8 people book but they have all enjoyed speaking with her.  I think if you use a TA that goes through Funjet, you are doing good.  The price match option is pretty great!

Thank you so much ladies for posting your travel rates it really helps give me at least an idea of what the rates may be for my guests in 2012. I have a question are children under the age of 4yrs old free at the resort? I notice that your rates only say kids 4-12yrs. I am asking because there will be two kids on my guest list who will be 2 years old (one of them being my daughter and I had been wanting to know if I would have to pay for her to stay at the resort since I do have to buy her a plane ticket.) Thanks!

The rates I have received noted children 2-11 so I am not sure about this one.

@Delgadot,:::Stay on top of Nicole for your confirmation. You should receive an email confiming your date. In the begining, I had a bad experience with Nicole. She never responded to any of my emails. I notified the manager of  the resort as well as the corporate office and my date was confimred in less than 24hrs. The manager sent me several emails to check on me too. Anyway, it seems a lot of the girls on the site had good experiences with her and I am one of few that had a bad one. However, still keep your eye on the situation. Let us know when you hear back from her.

Good luck:)

The floor is concrete/cement so you can dance anywhere, no need for special dance floor. We just danced on one corner, although you could choose to dance on the other side (the steakhouse is sort of divided into two section with a half wall in between), but we wanted to have everything on one side and we had plenty of space with 75 people.

Breeze, I know you are getting married at the Beach like me, are you having a welcome dinner or a rehersal dinner, where are you having them? Also are you having a cocktail party. We want to have a 'welcome' cockail party the day we arrive but aren't sure where to go. We also want to have a cocktail party the wedding day and aren't sure where to go!! Help!

Just read your review. It was great! Few questions for ya:

The resort videographer - was this a 'true' video, as in footage of your ceremony with sound, etc or just a slide show of photos from your ceremony?

Please give us more deets on this mexican restaurant! Sounds fun!

oh and I don't think you went overboard on decor at all, it looked gorgeous wink.gif

Congrats!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
