Iberostar Rose Hall Brides - Post all info/questions here!

Recommended Posts

Hey Ladies,

Do you happen to have any pictures you can post on here or send to my email address at maggiepurslow@yahoo.com

I am really trying to get an idea of how everything looks and is set up from your point of view rather than pictures that the resort send me (which have been very generic). Also, is there a nice view of the ocean from the steakhouse??

Thanks for your help!

Maggie

Hi Ladies!!! I'm coming out of hiding. LOL, thanks Myen! I got married on Friday, 6/5 and absolutely loved the resort.

I was originally getting married in Riviera Maya at the Iberostar Paraiso Maya, but due to the hype of the swine flu we changed locations about a month before our wedding date. I was scrambling at the last minute trying to get things reorganized and never found the time to officially introduce myself.

I realize that there aren't many Iberostar Rose Hall brides, so if any of you have any questions.... PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE. This site has been a tremendous help to me & it's my pleasure to return the favor.

I'm not even going to kid myself... I will write a review, I just don't know when (I'm not as fast as the other brides). smile116.gif We just got back yesterday and I'm still in vacation mode. Again, if you have any questions in the meantime, I'm here.

Forgive me as I play catch up....
The beach was a concern of mine as well. I bought these beautiful 4 inch heels & I insisted on wearing them for my entire wedding!

Nicole keep telling us that we had to get married on the beach because of the size of our group (65 people). I never wanted to get married on the beach... even when the wedding was in Mexico, the beach was not an option. I love the pictures, but didn't like the idea of sand blowing around and having my guests walk in the sand. So when we arrived at the resort, we made it a point to scout out an alternate location.

We walked over to the lazy river island and we thought is was large enough. Nicole was hesitant about having the wedding there because they never had that location set-up for more than 30 guests. After begging & pleading, Nicole was willing to give it a shot. It turned out beautiful!!

Here's a link with a few pics of the ceremony location (hope this works)...

briscoecrown,

First off, CONGRATS on becoming a Mrs!! Second, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! You are my savior wink.gif Your set-up turned out beautifully!! Funny enough, I just received a message from Nicole today that had pics of your set-up as their new wedding location.

I can't begin to thank you enough for scoping out this location... I'm so excited that I now have the chance to wear my fabulous shoes for our ceremony :)

Yes, there's a nice view of the ocean from the steakhouse. However, by the time we arrived for our reception, the sun already went down and it was pretty dark. We could only hear the waves.

I'll go thru some more pics & try to post them shortly.

The river was not closed during the ceremony, but it doesn't hurt to ask Nicole if they can. There were a couple of people floating around, but everyone was very respectful and stayed off to the side. The pool crowd dies down around 5ish and the activities stop by 5:30pm. Also, the swim-up bar closes at 6pm. So, there's no need to worry about a huge crowd floating in the river during your ceremony.

People gathered on the main bridge & on their balconies to view our ceremony. It was cool. They added a little more 'celebrity' to the moment. :) They made us feel like stars! LOL

Every Mon & Thurs the Suites has a beach BBQ in front of the Steakhouse. On Thursdays, they add the steel pan band. We hired them for our cocktail hour... well worth the money.

We had our welcome dinner at the Beach's Japanese restaurant. We had approx 58 people attend dinner and they were able to accommodate our group.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
