I emailed the wedding coordinator to see if the date we wanted was available. It took them a while to get back - as it turned out, she was on vacation. If you have not heard back, email them again. Definitely do not book your actual trip until you know the date for the wedding is available, especially because Iberostars only do one wedding per day. Good luck!

I agree it does not make sense at all!!!! If worse gets to worse call the resort and ask for Nicole. She is usually there by 11:00am. She will get back to you. SOmetimes you have to be a little on top of her but she will get back in touch. Don't book anything until she confirms your date becasue they only have one wedding per day.

 

 

I also called Nicole and spoke to her about the ipod issue. She said that the dj equipment can connect to an ipod but they have to make sure that they have the appropriate cord. I aksed if that means we can speak to the DJ ahead of time and she said that would be fine.

Hi I am getting married in may 2010. I will not be able to visit the site before then. Does anyone have pictures of the resort from visiting or from their wedding?

A couple other questions i had were...if you hook up an ipod for the dj to use, how would you break to do things like cut the cake or first dance with mother/father?

Usually the dj is in charge of all of that, will they know to do those kinds of things? Do we have to tell them certain times when we want to do this stuff? Thanks for your help!

Hello!!!!! I am alose getting merried in may 2010!!!! I will be going ther in January (hopefully) if all goes well to check it out and make arrangements. If you need me to do anything while I am there let me know!!!

 

As far as the ipod situation goe I think that you can just pause it for breaks. I will also try to put them on some sort of shuffle.

Hey magz,

I'm getting married in May as well!! I wasn't planning on going down to Jamaica before the wedding but there was an amazing seat sale, I couldn't pass up. So I will be going in a few weeks!

I will be staying with family, but I plan on meeting with the wedding coordinator (Chic Events) and doing a day visit to the Iberostar Rose Hall Beach, Bellefield Estates, churches and any other potential vendors in the area (Montego Bay).

We don't plan on getting married at the Iberostar but our guests will be staying there. Still, I will most likely meet with the coordinator there just in case we have a change of heart.

I will take plenty pics and provide as much info as I can!!!

I can't believe that May is 6 months away!!! I have had to take a break from the whole wedding thing because work has been crazy. Do you guys know anything about SAAB photography? They are based out of montego bay and the online pics look great. I wanted to know if anyone has used them and what their thoughts were.

They have AMAZING pics including some of the church I am getting married at. I am looking to get a quote from them as well. The quality of the pics are beautiful!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
