Iberostar Rose Hall Brides - Post all info/questions here!

Btw, Thanks Sarah for posting this info from the coordinator!! I was just thinking about sending her a message to ask about the table set-up for the reception... I will probably bring down my own table runners and sashes, and instead of flowers for centerpieces I am going to bring down moroccan lanterns because I want lots and lots of candlelight!!

If someone has a map or if someone that has been to the resort can clairify, I would be super grateful.

Thanks,

I just got back from a site visit there last month. All of the resorts are connected. However in the hallways seperating each hotel there are security gaurds and Beach Guests can't go to either of the sister properties and Suites can use the Beach, and the Grand can use all three. The Suites and Beach can not use the Grand. They are hardcore with security to make sure that nobody can get through who is not suppose to. On the beach they have gaurds and palm tress seperating each resort. If you want to hang with your Beach guests you would just have to walk down to their section of the beach. That is actually where all of the watersports are located anyway. It is about a 15 min walk from the end of the Grand to the end of the Beach (the Suites is in the middle).

In the meantime, I did come across some beach ceremony pics and if you scroll through them, I think that there maybe a photo of the couple at the pier. Here's the link:

Hope this helps and good luck!
The wedding gazebo is for very, very small weddings. As in 2-4 people. It's super small and a very narrow pier. If you want pics they wedding coordinator has mock pictures of a wedding set up there. I saw them in person, or else I would post them, but I am sure they can email them to you. It's a long dark wooden pier with 2 gazebos on each side at the end.

  • 2 weeks later...

I am so excited to say that we just booked our wedding at the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites for June 18, 2010! After hours of searching the internet and switching from the Iberostar in Mexico, I am thrilled with our choice!! The wedding coordinators seem great, and we also booked with Paula & Damian from SunGold Photography. Less than 13 months to go--yea!!

Congrats FutureMrsUnderwood!

I'm pretty excited myself. We leave in a week's time -- ack! I haven't as yet finalized all the details, but should be doing so in the next couple of days. I haven't come across any wedding reviews or many wedding pics for IRHS, so after our wedding is all done, I'll do my damnest to write as detailed a review as I can to help out any future brides.

Hi,

I've been in panic mode all week as we leave this Sunday. Packing all of our wedding items is proving to be the biggest challenge, especially since the OOT bag items are super bulky. Here are pics if anyone is interested in seeing the final product:

As a result of having to reschedule our date, we will now have 16 guests as opposed to the original 25 that we had for Mexico sad.gif Oh well, what can you do, right?

Loreto has been really good about responding to my many, many questions. Here is how our wedding itinerary is shaping up so far:

5:30pm to 6:30pm - Wedding Ceremony at Gazebo
6:30pm to 8:00pm - Dinner at the Gourmet Restaruant
8:00pm to 10:30pm - Private outdoor Cocktail reception, cake cutting and dancing in Pool Area

I know Sarah is having her wedding 2 days before mine. I wonder how her planning is coming along?

Hello All,

I just returned from my wedding at Iberostar Rose Hall Beach. I'll do a review tonight and post some pictures so you can see the pier and other locations. We had our dinner at Uncle Tony's but I think it is Aunt Emma's for those at the Suites. You should all keep in mind that the sun is down by 7 pm so make sure you take pictures before your ceremony. We had ours at around 4 pm and after pictures, just had time for a drink and freshening up before dinner at 7 pm.

Wow Myen!! Everything is really coming together for you... I can't wait til you get back to see how everything goes. I wanted to have a gazebo wedding, but I may have too many guests for that location.

When I booked my date I was corresponding with Nicole, but I haven't been in contact with her for a few months so I guess I may need touch base with Loreto to make sure everything is still on track for me. It's good to know that she has been good about replying to your messages. Hopefully she will continue along that route in the future.

For your private cocktail hour do you plan to hire a DJ or band, or will you be using an iPod?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
