Iberostar Rose Hall Brides - Post all info/questions here!

Recommended Posts

Hi Mary

At the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites you can rent the Disco “Mango Walk†for groups of more than 30 adults from 8:30 to 10:30 pm. It cost $350 and that includes DJ and open bar for 2 hours.

(Note: the disco is only for adults, if you have children in your party

they will be allowed during the private reception but if you decide to

continue the party once the disco opens at 10:30 pm for the regular

guests the children will have to leave the Disco facilities)

Hope this helps! I'm planning on doing this for my welcome party

Hey Ladies! My FI and I just got back from doing our site visit to Iberostar Grand Rose Hall. I took a TON of pictures and actually mixed in there are 2 picutres of a wedding being set up on the beach at the Suites. Near the end of my pictures you can see the grounds of both the beach and suites...I also took a bunch of pictures of a little shopping village that is located right next to the beach hotel. I totally reccomend walking down there to get stuff for your OOT bags. They have shot glasses, flip flops, necklaces, shirts all super cheap if you buy in bulk they siad they would barter down an even better deal!!! I am def going there to get stuff for my bags. I haven't made a final decision on my welcome party as of yet, but I'm leaning towards renting the disco rockon.gif and having the open bar for two hours. It seems to be the best alternative and would be a lot more fun than sitting in a restaurant since we will already have 2 do that 4 the rehearsal dinner.

OMG! The resort is lovely! I've been to Jamaica several times and have stayed at the Ritz, but it doesn't begin to compare to the pictures that you posted of the Iberostar Rosehall. I don't understand why every bride that wants to get married in Jamaica wouldn't do it at Iberostar.
I am soooo looking forward to my wedding. Thank you so much for sharing! smile03.gif

Hi ladies,

I wanted to introduce myself. I was supposed to leave this Saturday for my wedding at Dreams Tulum in the Mayan Riviera. Unfortunately, due to the swine flu issues, our vacation company cancelled all flights to Mexico for the month of May. We've managed to re-schedule our wedding to June 2nd at Iberostar Rose Hall Suites.

I have a little over 2 weeks to plan my 'new' wedding before I leave with my FH on our non-refundable European 'honeymoon' BEFORE our wedding... haha. Oh well, I guess we wanted a non-traditional wedding and we're going to get one!

I haven't navigated through all of the information on this thread yet, but I'm sure I'll find some very useful tips. I'm in touch with Loreto and she's been very helpful so far. Of the 55 guests that we're supposed to come to Mexico, we have 36 that have re-booked to Jamaica so far.

I hope I can pull this off! We leave for Europe on May 11th. I better get planning!

Hi Sarah!!

So sorry to hear that your wedding had to be cancelled because of the swine flu madness... It's insane how outta control it has gotten. But at least you were able to figure out an alternative and be our first Iberostar Suites Bride!!! I hope everything works out for you, and that it's everything you dreamed your wedding day would be (minus the Mexico part) =) Good luck!!!

Wow, Sarah. It's amazing that you were able to get your "new" dream wedding re-scheduled that quickly. The Iberostar Rose Hall is an amazing resort. Your guests will love the Jamaican laid back "no problem, mon" culture.

If you look thru the posts you will see that there is a bride who just came back from a site visit. She's getting married at Iberostar Rose Hall Grand but she posted pictures of the suites as well.

Hi ladies,

Thanks for the support and well wishes. It's been a crazy week but I'm happy that we have a plan B in place. Now I need to hit the road running!

Where are you planning to have your receptions? Our group will likely be ~40 (give or take a few). In Mexico, we were planning on having a private reception at an 'open-air' restaurant (a restaurant on the beach with no walls but with a roof). Does anyone know if Iberostar Rose Hall Suites has something similar? I even 25 bought paper lanterns and LED lights to be hung... I wonder if I can even use them now? sad.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
