Iberostar Rose Hall Brides - Post all info/questions here!

Recommended Posts

Im considering Iberostar for my DW coming up in May. Im trying to decide between Iberostar Rose Hall & Beaches Negril. I havent found any info on Iberostar but I did stay at Iberostar resorts in Riviera Maya, and everything was great. So part of me trusts their reputation because of my experience in Mexico. I did look on Trip Advisor and saw a lot of great reviews for Iberostar Jamaica. If I find out any more info, I will post. I did hear that Negril has nicer beaches though, so not sure how great the beach is at the Iberostar.

I've been to both. I ended up getting married at the Iberostar. The beaches are much nicer in Negril than in Montego Bay/Rose Hall, overall. However, the Iberostar had the nicest beach I've seen in Montego Bay. No one from my wedding party complained about the beach at all. It was perfectly fine. When we visited Beaches Negril, the first things I noticed were that it is VERY kid friendly - there are Sesame Street characters everywhere. If you have a ton of kids coming, then this might be ok - if you don't, then it may be annoying. Also, I noticed when we were waiting for the wedding coordinator to come get us in the waiting area, my husband and I got REALLY bit up. There were sooo many bugs there, I guess because of the jungle-type feel and all the trees. This is why we chose the Iberostar - it is only 25 minutes from the airport (we had 100 guests and didn't want all those people to travel over an hour to Negril), the Iberostar does 1 wedding a day, all the other resorts can do up to 7 i think, and it was family friendly, but not kids overload... We honeymooned in Negril, though. Negril is beautiful!!!

I just learned that the Iberostar Grand Rose Hall opened in January and it sounds fantastic! Does anyone have any info on that hotel? Like others on this thread, I have stayed at the Iberostar in Riviera Maya and it was wonderful. We preferred to have our DW where it was adults only so thats why I havent considered regular Rose Hall or the suites. Ther price isn't bad for the Grande either but through my research (limited since it just opened), I have found you have to pay for everything for your wedding so that would affect things. We are only doing something small with 20 guests max total...anyone have any comments or suggestions about this? Otherwise, we may be doing Breezes RB or Sandals.

Oh and Phillygal...most of my guests would be coming from Philly lol.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I finally was able to go thru all my emails and get back to everyone (i think) and i sent the pics out to the people that wanted to see pics. I also put some questions together that people asked and put the answers in an email too. So, if i didn't get back to you or if you want to see the email i put together or if you want to see some wedding pics, please let me know!!! [email protected] is the best way to reach me

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
