Do you have Sandy's email address? I still haven't heard back from Loreto so I want to try Sandy instead. Hopefully she'll respond quicker. I want to book a date but no one is getting back to me! It's making me nervous!!

Congrats! I too haven't heard back yet either, It's been 2 weeks and I've followed up 3 times! I've been dealing with a WC named Loreto, but Tasha (also in this thread) has been in contact with Sandy? I've asked for her email so that I can send my request to her instead.

A travel agent might be helpful. Just went to a wedding show today (I'm from Toronto) and found a vendor there that specializes in booking destination weddings. I might have them book on my behalf (and organize a group rate) since they may have better leverage and negotiating power.

The stress begins!!!

Here is Sandy's email Sandy <weddings@iberostar.com.jm>; But I also went through the a travel agent to get the room deals and the honeymoon deal Sandy is just the WC. The longest she took to contact me was a day and that was when I asked for pics.

THANKS SO MUCH TASHA!!

I've sent an email to Sandy and I finally got a response, ON THE SAME DAY!

The email you gave me (weddings@iberostar.com.jm) is actually different from the email I had which was weddings.suites@iberostar.com.jm

I guess this means that there are 2 different email addresses for each Iberostar resort? One for the Suites and one for the Beach Hotel (which is where I would like to get married and book my me and my guests)??. I'll check with Sandy.

I thought I'd also share the following that was emailed to me:

"Once staying at the Iberostar Suites you will be able to use the facilities at the Iberostar Beach Resort. But guests staying at the Beach would not have that privilege, unless they are willing to pay for the day pass of $100usd to attend the wedding."

Something to keep in mind if you have guests staying at both resort types.

Thank you Tasha and Angel for this information!

I'm working with a travel agent now, that I've used through work and he actually just got back from the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites on 12/29. He said that the suites were nicer because you had unlimited access to the restaurants, whereas at the hotel you're limited to three nights a week. But it is more expensive. And all the rooms are at least junior suites.

I'm going to have him price out both and then compare the two. I think if people are only there a couple nights the limited restaurants wouldn't really matter...

I thought about the Iberostar Suites Resort but I have my 2 boys and they are no kids allowed at that one. And the one Im staying at is 75 per guest. I have a problem I got my packages for my guest without getting air fare included because it seems to come out cheaper for the guest. If I got the guest to get an airfare and resort package it would be over $1200. and my Wedding package is 2100 + 17 per guest is that what sandy is working out for you? I might have over 40 people. Please let me know if there are any deals out there for airfare and any special deals offered for the wedding package.

Hi guys! I got married at the Iberostar Rose Hall on December 13th! We had 100 come to the Iberostar for our wedding. I would be happy to answer any questions you have! My email is toni0325@yahoo.com - So this is what I discovered when i got to the hotel - Loreto used to be the wedding person at the Iberostar Beach, but when the Suites opened up, they transferred her there. Sandy is the prime contact at the Iberostar Beach. I think that the reason it's hard for Sandy to respond right away sometimes, is because she's not just a wedding coordinator, she is the one that has to sit and take restaurant reservations too, sometimes for like 4 hours a day. Also, when i was there she worked like 7 days straight, so maybe she'll take like 2 or 3 days off. I dunno. But, basically, don't worry. I was so scared before i got there about how things would go, and my wedding was absolutely amazing!!! And Sandy was great. Granted, we did have some things that went a little wrong, like we made a CD for our music and all the DJ had to do was play it, and he decided to play one song over 3 times. And my husband wrote a really easy list of the names for our introductions and what songs to play and he totally messed it up and my stepdad had to do our introduction. That was a mess. Oh, and i am having some issues with the photographer about viewing the pictures he took. But overall - the welcome party, ceremony and reception were all great and our guests LOVED the resort!!! They were only upset that they didn't book a longer vacation. Feel free to post or email me!!! I never went over to the Suites so I have no idea about them. But Iberostar Beach was great if you have kids coming!

Good luck!! Toni

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
