Below are the contract details I had with Dean Clarke. Although the package says 350-400 pictures, we actually ended up with just over 700. He was great to work with and creative with our poses. We really like the quality of his work.

Here's the link to contact Dean: http://www.deanclarkeweddings.com/index2.php#/contact/

Good luck!

Julie

I have a VERY important question. I was told we could scan our notarized copies of our wedding documents and send them in an email. Has anyone done this?

thanks!

If you are getting married at the Suites you CAN NOT do this. However, I believe the Beach and the Grand do allow scanned copies.

Thanks for all the info, I did scan the documents and according to the WC the documents are approved (i am of course going to bring the originals with us so we do not run into any trouble)

My newest question for past brides is regarding the huppa decoration. For those of you who brought your own fabric for the huppa how much did you bring?

thanks for everything!

Welp! We got back from Jamaica one week ago. Our wedding was truly amazing. Everyone who says you really have nothing to worry about it right on! We had the best time and Santena (our WC) was amazing and so nice. Just a super quick rundown: We had our rehearsal dinner at the Japanese restaurant on Tuesday. Then we had our wedding on the Bob Marley terrace on Wednesday at 5pm at the Beach resort. We had 33 people total. We did the ceremony, champagne toast, semi-private dinner at Uncle Tonyâ€s then back to the terrace for cake/dancing. We ended the night with wishing lanterns on the beach. Everything went perfectly – there was really nothing to worry about! After 6 days at the Beach, we moved to the Grand for our honey moon for an additional 4 days. This was seriously the best 10 days of my life! I got so much help from this site, so please feel free to ask questions – I will be happy to help if I can. Best piece of advice is to keep it as simple as possible. I donâ€t really feel like you need too many plans/decorations as everything is so beautiful there. I wish I could post a few pics from our wedding, but honestly Iâ€m not sure how… Good luck to all future brides. Enjoy it!!! It goes fast!

Is anyone else dealing with this dilemma - how many wedding favors to order?  We have a total of 32 guests that have paid deposits (some paid in full).  But, there are still a couple of those people that say they MAY decide to attend last minute-if of course the space is even available.  I'm certainly not putting my planning on hold for them... but should I order an extra 5 or so... just in case?

I had a few extra people that were on the fence - they said they were coming, but hadn't booked yet. I ordered enough items (be it chair sashes, favors, etc) to include the maybes. It was only an extra 4 or 5, so not that big of a deal. In the end they didn't come, but I didn't want to place separate orders in case they decided last minute they were going to be there. I don't know what your favors are, but it might be nice to have a couple extra on hand anyways in case anything breaks during travel down there.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
