Iberostar Rose Hall Brides - Post all info/questions here!

Recommended Posts

I just switched my deposit from the Suites to the Beach for January 2014. I'm not super thrilled about it, but was really worried about the cost for guests. I'm still concerned about it even being at the Beach so we'll see how the reaction is to my Save the Dates when I send them in the next few days.

All of you ladies who chose the Beach resort, I'd love to hear some reassurance and reasons why you selected it! I'm sure my excitement will come back, just right now the nerves & unknown are overshadowing it...

I just read that I need to fill out paperwork to request a date? Where do I get that paperwork? I'm looking at JULY 2014, and am pretty open to dates (as I'm a teacher and off all summer!) but want to have a date reserved! Any help is appreciated. Can someone email me the pricing for 2014? Applefortchr@yahoo.com Thanks so much!!!

Ladies with experience at the Iberostar Rose Hall... a quick question if you don't mind? The more I research and read about the resort the more excited I get. However, I'm now getting a little nervous. All of the reviews & experiences I see are for larger groups than mine (30-100... I haven't seen any with less than 20 guests). We will have about 10 guests, no more than 15 in total. Do you think that I can still pull off a nice, intimate (we're doing immediate family only) wedding at the Suites?  I'm okay with not doing a private reception, but I'm even looking at the ceremony locations thinking... will it look strange with only 10 guests?

Maybe I'm thinking into this too much, but if anyone could chime in... it'd be appreciated! I'm *this* close to getting a date confirmed and if I need to take a new direction, I need to decide within the next day or two.  Also, were you able to change any of the details on your "date request form" after submitting? For example, your arrival and departure dates, time of ceremony, or the package selected?

Thank you all so much in advance!

Krista

Hi Krista,

I just got married on the 11th at the suites and we had 17 guests. I too found it difficult to plan my wedding when it seemed like everyone on the forum was making plans for 30+ people. When I was there, there were lots of weddings with just a few chairs on a beach. It doesn't make much of an aisle, of course, but they can put down a white cloth aisle down for you that can be really long. Everyone at my wedding loved how intimate it was and I got married on the beach. I didn't check about the gazebo that someone else suggested but probably with your number of around 10, it could work quite nicely as it might be a little cramped with much more.  Best of luck!

Thanks so much!!!

Brook,

You do have to fill out paperwork to request a date.  I'm not sure which resort you're planning using for your wedding, but I've provided the link below for the Suites.  The email address is also on the website for Iberostar.  I do know that the only pricing available right now is for 2013.  They generally do not release pricing for the following year until sometime between October and December.  You might want to check with the WC once you've made contact.  Hope this helps!

We did our site visit for the Suites but stayed at the Beach to save some money on the trip.  We had a really good time!! I won't get into the reasons we switched to the Suites for our wedding (mainly the WC at the beach, but I believe she is gone now).  My only 2 complaints were our rooms and day passes.  We had the worst 2 rooms in the resort over looking the roof of a building and astro-turf.  Not a good first impression. Especially since we were down there checking things out for our wedding! (I'll try to figure out the room numbers because you do NOT want anyone in them!!)  The other was that they have a day pass for locals.  So there were a TON of people there on a day pass, paying like $100 for the pool, bar and restaurants.  I just thought it was strange.  Other than that, service was great, food was good, we just felt better with the rooms at the Suites when we did our tour and their WC was much better!  The beach is more affordable though.

I am having an issue with tai flora, I keep emailing them questions and I have yet to get all the answers I want. I am not huge on flowers but I would like nice centerpieces. Can any one please send me their quotes so I can have some examples of what they can do for certain prices? I just want to nail down my floral budget but they are making it impossible!

Thanks!!!!!

When I have trouble getting emails back from tai flora I then resend that email and add info@taiflora and sales@taiflora (google those email addresses bc they may be off - I don't have them in front of me).

Hi Krista,  we got married at the Beach resort in January and you have nothing at all to worry about! We picked the Beach because of the price being more reasonable to ask people to pay, and I am so glad we didn't pay the extra for the suites or grand.  We had a group of over 50 people and everyone loved the place. We had a suite room overlooking the beach and the ceremony location on the beach, it was great, but then again we are usually on the beach or at the pool, not in the room on vacation.

there was one day that I noticed was a bit busier then the others and then at the end of the day heard an announcement for the cruise ship people to leave, but that was one day only, and still never felt like the resort was full.

The food was great, lots of loungers at the beach and pool, great service, etc. the wedding coordinator was Santena when we were there,  she was also wonderful to work with, and she didn't just ditch us after the ceremony, she was around almost the whole time to make sure everything went smoothly. Overall, I wouldn't have changed anything at all!

If you have any specific questions just let me know :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
