Courtney is right. If you booked your wedding December or later, you fall under the new package. Yes you will have to pay for one nights stay for your photographer if that's the case :(

Wow that's terrible! So cheap...

Hey previous brides,

Did you ladies take out money to pay for the various vendors before you left on your trip or when you got there? Not sure if there are crazy transaction fees if you take the money out at the hotel but at the same time, don't want to be carrying around a ton of money for the first few days.

I'm not sure about the transaction fees because my hubby did the transaction, but at the hotel there was a $200 US limit for how much you can take out...So if you're paying a lot of vendors that could get annoying. I'd suggest going to a bank or seeing if they accept online transfers.

Hi Ladies,

I'm new around here and planning a January 2014 wedding... hopefully at the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites. Like many of you, I've tried to contact the WC's and haven't gotten any response. I'm now trying to work through a TA. I'm getting pretty nervous about getting a date confirmed soon, as I can tell from all of you that they go fast! I feel like I'm way behind!

Would anyone be willing and able to send me the wedding packages, pricing, and date request form? I know they'll change for 2014 but anything is a start. I don't have enough posts (yet) to download the one for 2013 that was uploaded earlier. cmandkw2014@gmail.com

Thanks so much and I look forward to getting to know all of you!

Hey DaniScales,

I am getting married at the Grand on 10/26.  I have a couple of questions for you if you dont mind.  Do you have a good idea of the "flow" for your special day?   I have been trying to imagine it and cannot come up with a fluid chain of events, ie ceremony, cocktail hour for attendees while we take pics or send our guest to the bar in the lobby to hang out while we take pics, dinner at the Surf and Turf restaurant and then......................  idk....

any insight is welcomed

thanks in advance

Ciao

Thank you for sending all the information along, it's very helpful!

I hope I hear from them soon and they still have some do-able dates. I'm hesitant to do a mid-week wedding, but I think that's all they may have left since we're just under a year out. Fingers crossed!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
