Iberostar Rose Hall Brides - Post all info/questions here!

I'm getting married April 27th at the Beach and will be arriving on the 24th. For the cocktail reception, I would recommend the Bob Marley Terrace. The only reason I suggest that is because if it is darker and people are drinking, you don't want to worry about anyone accidentally falling into the pool. But maybe it is far enough away from the pool that you don't have to worry about that? I've never been to the resort so I'm not sure.

My review for my wedding last Saturday, January 12, 3013 is up & posted.  My final thought for now is that Iberostar Rose Hall Suites is the nicest, friendliest, most awesome resort property I have EVER stayed at and I had the wedding& honeymoon of my dreams....would love to be back there right now!!!  I will always look for Iberostar properties for future vacations as well :)  Happy planning to all future brides!!!!

Sorry, this one was for you!  I am so bad at this site!  :)

Thanks, you have an excellent point!  With a crew like mine, you never know who would end up in the pool!  Our weddings are so close together...hopefully we will run into each other down there!

How many people did you have at your wedding? Did you do your dances in the restaurant and did you have a private booking?
We had 49 people so we did a private restaurant at Uncle Tony's. We had our first dance on the beach and had our mother/son, father/ daughter dance during dinner. We rented the steel band that played during dinner. By the time dinner and speeches were done there wasn't a lot of time fir dancing....about a half an hour

About three months until my wedding at the beach and things are starting to come together!  I don't think we are going to have 40 guests for the private dinner at Uncle Tony's so I am thinking a semi-private dinner and then a cocktail reception afterwards.  I am trying to decide between the cocktail reception on the Bob Marley terrace or the pool bar.  Have any of you used either location for the reception and if so, can you provide recommendations (pros/cons)?  Also, I am dying to see photos of these spots so if anyone wants to share, that would be awesome! Also, I am thinking of having the steel pan drums for the ceremony.  Has anyone done this?  If so, was it worth it?  I want to walk in to Cannon D but not sure what to use as a recessional.  Ideas? Also, if anyone is interested, I have received some flower quotes from Tai, Floral Fantasies, and Jan's and I think I have decided to go with Floral Fantasies.  They seemed the easiest to work with and the cheapest for what I wanted.  And they responded right away (huge plus!) Hope everyone's planning is going well?  Anyone else getting married the week of April 24th??
We went with a private dinner but I saw another wedding cocktail reception at the pool...it looked nice as there's a raised area behind the bar and it's well lite. I would go with that option as it's also more private. I'll see if I have pics. We went with the steel band over dinner and I absolutely loved it!!

Does anyone have the email for the contact at floral fantasies? My wedding is on a Sunday and it says they are closed that day...think they would still deliver, or no chance?
I have been emailing [email protected]. They have responded pretty quickly. The only problem is one second my contact at the beach said I could use another flower vendor at no extra charge as long as they just dropped off the flowers an now they are telling me that no outside vendors are allowed. I'm getting confused. Would rather use floral fantasies than tai flora as they are cheaper for what I want. Does anyone have experience with this? As for them delivering on a Sunday, I'm sorry but I'm not sure. Just send her an email! :)

My very first post!

After lurking for weeks I am taking the plunge!!

Hello BDW Brides!

I am so happy to be a part of this site and am so grateful to all the women who have posted pictures and reviews.

THANK YOU!

My parents, then boyfriend and I stayed at the Ibersotar Grand last May. We had an incredible time. We were upgraded to an oceanfront room and ate and drank until our hearts were content. As a 5 star chick I donâ€t think I have stayed at a nicer hotel. It is lux, opulent and lavish-all at the same d@mn time!

While at the resort my now fiancé said we should look into getting married here. We spoke about marriage before but with all the things to do, eat and making more than enough time for adult time-we ran out of time to inquire about possible nuptials.

Fast forward........December 22, 2013 this beautiful, tall, strong man of mine proposes in Chicago as Tamar Braxton's Love and War finishes. Of course she said YES and the planning is in full force. We are booked at the Grand for October 26, 2013 at 5p. I canâ€t wait! We are ironing out the details with our travel agent and will put our deposit down this week or next so we can release further details to our family and friends. Then the Save the Date luggage tags (from Etsy) are going out.

We saw a couple of weddings when we were out there and they were beautiful. Everything a girl could wish for and more. We are getting married on the beach and I could care less about onlookers and gawkers. Let them all witness this gloriousness!

Iâ€m hoping to do the semi-private dinner reception at the Surf and Turf Restaurant. Itâ€s kinda crazy but I hope we have no more than 30 guests. I canâ€t be bothered with a large reception. I guess I would if I had to but I really donâ€t want to.

I've been corresponding with Syrecka over the last couple of weeks and she has been pretty quick to respond. I look forward to corresponding with you ladies, sharing details and getting ourselves together for this big day.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
