My travel agent gave me a copy of a flyer from the Beach Resort. It lists late night snacks are available at the buffet restaurant Little River from 11:00pm - 7:00am. Here is the flyer in case you are wondering about other times, events, etc. It's a scan of a copy, so if anything is too fuzzy to read just let me know and I can reply with what it says.

At the Suites, the Mexican restaurant is open all night serving burgers and stuff. The resort also has 24 hour room service.

Wow, now that its less than 2 months before my wedding Tai Flora is really on the ball.  They have been sending me tones of emails and now just called me to go through all the details (we spoke for 50 minutes).  I had received a lot of back and forth and pricing on different items, but now shes going to compile in to one overall quote where I can add and subtract the items I want.  The only item I am not happy with is that the dance floor is $500 for an oak one or $1000 for a white laminate one.  I really want the white one, but think that is a rip off!

I decided to stick with Tai Flora over Floral Fantasies as FF didn't have all of the things I needed.  I'm doing a beach reception and FF is more focused on flowers rather than chair rentals, bamboo poles strung lights, etc.  But if I wasn't needing all those other things I would have stuck wtih FF as they were so great to deal with from the get go.

-Is it possible to get a reggae band on the beach after dinner? If so, what is the cost?

-We would like to have a cocktail party after dinner on the Beach.  What time does it end? Will the disco be open then, or will the guests have nothing to do until the disco opens?    -What is included in the national and international open bar?  We want slushy drinks, like daquiris.    -we want to show a slideshow during our dinner. Do they have equipment for showing it? Cost?   -we want to do our first dance with our dinner too, is there music equipment in the Steakhouse to play music? Cost?   -if we decide to rent out the disco, will the adult guests be kicked out between 10:30 and 11?

I was told $150 to rent AV equipment for the night and a microphone $150 for the night or if you are using a DJ it's included

I also wanted to do a welcome bonfire. I was told $250 is for 15 people for an open bar. After the 15 ppl a cost of per person for an open bar is charged. I'm assuming that means they will set up a private bar for the bonfire.

Thanks for answering my questions everyone! My big concern now is what my 100 guests will do between 10:30 and 11 when the disco opens if they shut down the bar/ music/ fire etc...I think the time gap is really poorly planned. Hopefully they are relaxed about enforcing it, but I'd like to have a back up plan and I really dont want to lose my older guests and I think I will if there is half an hour with nothing to do.

Has anyone found luminary bags for a good price (in Canada)? Or does anyone know if white paper lunch bags from Walmart would work or if we need the flame resistant ones? I'm going to fill them with sand and use a tea light in each and scatter them in the sand surrounding our beach reception.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
