I totally agree with you. I have put all of the info I collected into one superlong document so I can find it all in one place just by searching for what I need. You know, the WCs would have a way easier job if they just had a FAQ section on the Iberostar website for this group of hotels under Destination Weddings and answered all of the brides questions there. If brides were refered to that link than the WCs could save themselves from repeating the info to every bride who asks. They would just need to update the FAQ link once a week with all of the answers to the new questions and future brides would get the info they need in a timely manner without bugging the WC nearly as often. Sure it would be a lot of questions but so what, at the end of the day it would save them a lot of tedious, repetitive work and help us out too.

Anyway, I plan to post my superlong document in the Planning Thread after my wedding.

Good luck with school!

Im wondering about excursions too! I got a quote from a tour company that my mom used herlast time in Jamaica.

$68 per person for bus, guided tour of Dunns, stop for lunch, guided tour of White river, and cliff jumping in the white river, shopping, and bus home.

Any idea if this is a good price? Any idea how much it i through the resort?

That sounds like a great price! We're in the process of looking at excursion options too, and one of the better offers we've come across is $90/pp for the bus (private for our group), a stop at the Rose Hall Great House, Dunns (incl admission) and lunch. This is with Real Tours Jamaica.

May I ask what tour company you're referring to? Thanks!

My mom went last year on a cruise and said they were great. It's kind of scary giving your money overseas in advance, but she said they showed up at the cruise ship, took 12 of them on a day long tour, and it was great!

We are planning an excursion for all of our guests (my father-in-law to be is paying).  I know when I was in Jamaica last year there was a table in the lobby that set-up excursions for the day.  We went ziplining and that was TONS of fun!  It was only for 5 us of us and not a huge group but we booked it one day and went the following day.  We didn't stay at the Iberostar, we were in Negril, but I would assume they would have something similar.

I booked my excursions when I was at the suites in May at the front desk. They were very nice and very helpful... HOWEVER- it may be easier to look into doing things ahead of time for a large group!

No problem Court. Once I receive them I will post them all. At this point I have only received the one document so I assume on Sunday when Nicole/Tiffany respond to emails I will receive the missing docs. Once I am in possession of all of the final docs I will post them then.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
