Okay, this is for Rose Hall Suites but I THINK it will be the same for RHB but not sure. Also this is for 2012. Please excuse the appearance of the info as I cut & paste it and my computer skills have gone down the crapper.  I hope this is helpful. I can't seem to attach the pics but if you send me your email address I can email you the actual doc from the hotel called Wedding Details.

FLOWERS

With the wedding package you have included a small bridal bouquet, a boutonnière for the groom, a small centerpiece for the register table and a few flowers to decorate the wedding cake. We offer two different kinds of bouquets:



Tropical flowers: tropical flowers are Ginger Lilies (pink or red), Anthuriums, that come in red, pink, peach or a whitish color, Heliconias, Torch Ginger (pink), Birth of Paradise.

Roses:

you can have a classic bouquet with red or white roses. Other colors might be available according to season and availability (extra charges might apply).

We also have available for an extra charge flower arrangements matching the standard bouquet included for the bride (please see extra services document for pricing).

We work with an outside Flower Shop called

"Tai Flora Services Ltd." (www.taiflora.com). They have a great variety of flowers available for an extra cost. If you would like something different to what we have available with the wedding package or would like to upgrade your bouquet, please contact them directly so they can provide you with pricing and samples:

What I paid At Tai Flora....

Bridal Bouquet... white roses & orchids with a hint of blue hydrangea $150

Bridesmaids Bouquets....same as bridal, with no hydrangeas for $75

Orchid boutinere $20

Mothers corsage's (white orchids and blue hydrangea) $40 each

Petals for the flower girl....$50! (for about 2 cups worth. go with bright colours, otherwise you won't see them on the beach)

Centerpieces- I told them my budget was $60 per table, and I had bright pink orchids in submerged vases (3 cylinders of different heights) with 4 votive candles on each table (  I had 8 tables, so just centerpieces were $480 USD!)

I recommend the orchids for your hair, they come with bobby pins in them and they lasted the whole night and made everything seem tropical! (i think it was $20 for 3 orchids)

i decided against any flowers on the huppa on the beach. They wanted alot of money for flowers that you only see for 20 minutes in the mid day sun! So we had turqoise and white tulle wrapped around it and it was beautiful.

Tai Flora doesn't respond quickly, especially if your wedding is more than 6 months away. Once you get about a month in advance ( I know, it took me a while to wrap my brain around this too) they send you everything you need. My total price tag for flowers was $1500.

And I ordered the turquoise table runners at efavormart.com for like $1.50 each, and they don't take up space in your suitcase! We used them to tie around the huppa on the beach, it made everything look great!

happy planning!!

Marlena-do you have any pictures of what your huppa looked like? Is there flowers that can be ordered for the ceremony that can actually be used at the reception? Like that are not located on the huppa or even if they are they can be used as something else at the reception?

We leave 1 week from today.... I am so excited!!!!  Any of the recent brides have any last minute advice to share???

I am trying to keep the 'no problem mon' mentality, so surprisingly I am not too stressed that I haven't heard from Nicole or Tiffany in 2 weeks.  I figure at this point, it is what it is and we'll figure it all out down there... LOL.

Does Tai Flora rent you the vases or do you get to keep them? Personally I would rather just rent them. I don't want to lug them home. With my luck they would charge me at the airport for the extra weight and then they would break before I got them home. With all of the destination weddings that this florist does it would certainly be helpful for the brides if we could rent them instead of purchasing them. Anyone know?

Yes, the price that they quote is just renting the vases.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
