Tenderloin at Aunt Ruby's. We ate there for our reception, so I was a little busy- this is the only pic I got.  :)

I did add a bunch of pics of my setup at Aunt Ruby's to my planning thread, but will add more to my review when I am finished.

Thanks!  That makes me feel a bit better, and I appreciate the support.  My FI stepped in and chatted with him - I hope it helped !
Back to packing!

I wanted to comment on Godfrey Guy. We also had a few problems with him (nothing like you are going through though). I did notice that his responses definitely get snippy/attitude-y. I was told that the money was due the week before the wedding and that's when I paid. The problem we had was we put a down payment on specific flowers, only to be told his wholesalers did not have those flowers in bloom...a week before the wedding. After much irritation, tears, and freaking out...I decided I didn't care what the flowers looked like really. Anyways...he did an amazing job with my "backup" flowers and they were seriously more beautiful than I ever imagined. Point of the story I guess is that everything is going to be perfect no matter what happens. You might be freaking out right now, but it is so important to remember how amazing your wedding day will be regardless of everything! As long as you and your groom show up. wink.gif

Yeah this is a scary situation to say the least.  We plan to get in their faces when we arrive to try to get our hands on the originals.  fingers crossed!

Good luck!

Couldn't agree more!  In the end, you'll be beautiful, your FI will be dashing and you'll look back on the journey with smiles.  Don't become overwhelmed along the way.  I say this having had a mild situation last night when our 74th guest RSVP'ed (we've been planning for 65 people MAX).  :-) I know if will be a memorable weekend and I'm thankful so many are able and excited to share in it with us.

Hi!! I am getting married on April 18, 2012 at Suites!!

So I can help with some of your info:

1) I'll PM it to you.as I noticed you only have 4 posts so you won't be able to download it if it's posted.

2) There is one wedding ceremony per day at each of the resorts (Beach, Suites, Grand). So there could be three wedding ceremonies in total but only one at each of the resorts. That being said, there could be multiple weddings because some couples get married off the resort and have the reception back at the resort. If you're having the ceremony on the resort, you'll be the one wedding that day and you'll have priority over reception-only couples/wedding parties.

3) Standard beach set up is white chair covers with either a gold or silver chair tie; The huppa is covered in white fabric with some "greenery".  There is also your choice of a white or red aisle runner. They will also set up a small table for the signing of the certificate, it's covered in white fabric and there is a floral decoration provided but i'm not sure what it looks like.

4) Restaurant appears to be set up with covered chairs (white covers, silver or gold chair ties); white fabric table cloths and there may be a floral decoration at the bride/groom table but am not certain. Other decorations are extra or you can bring your own and they will set it up - although you should confirm with the resort for your specific set-up requirements.

Hope that helps - And just so you know, I haven't gotten married there yet but will be in April, I've gathered all of this info through numerous conversations with the resort and through this forum.

Good luck! :)

Has anyone gotten married on the beach in July :$ I really want to....not sure though if its wayyy too hot? Was also thinking if I should get married on the beach then while my FI and I are doing pics if the Steel pan drums could go to the terrace and my guests go there for the open bar? I am though having the drums for while I walk down the aisle.....Any thoughts?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
