Iberostar Rose Hall Brides - Post all info/questions here!

Recommended Posts

Hey! Okay so this may be answered in a later post .. ( i just got back this morning fro my two week wedding/Honeymoon at IBRB, and it was amazing.. Kymoya is FANTASTIC!!!! they have eery email you ever discussed on file ad so don't worry about the whole transfer from Silvia to Kymoya..  this girl knows what she is doin!! :)

I was worried before i left due to sometimes emails not getting answered etc.. but trust me.. you have nothing to worry about.. in person they put you at ease and everything will be exactly as you request.. whether it was with Kymoya or Silvia.. :)

they will decorate for you for a non private.. we had that and they set it up really nicely with my decorations, table runners etc... i am not sure about lanterns though as i didn't have any...

hope this helps!

With all the switching around of WC that has happened since I booked, does anyone know if they retain continuity of things that I have previously worked out?

Side note - for a non-private reception at Uncle Tony's, do you know if they will hang paper lanterns?

We had our wedding at the Suites.  We flew out of Toronto January 5, and returned January 12, 2012 and paid $1680 return.  I feverishly researched prices before choosing a date.  I tried to make it as cost effective as possible.  I originally wanted November, but it was more expensive at the time we committed to a date.

Thanks luvmoo! I appreciate your feedback, it certainly does help.

Question for you, if I remember correctly, you booked your wedding back in 2011. Seeing a recent post by heather1214, it looks as though things might have changed a bit regarding vendors. In my contract (2011), it says that I need only to pay $75 for an outside photographer and not the $100 vendor fee as well. Did you notice if anything changes in the prices that you were originally quoted for things such as photographer fees?

Also, will you be posting pictures and a review? Would love to see and hear all about it.

What are the options as far as location for the ceremonies on the beach? I know one location is near Aunt Ruby's restaurant? Is there another option? I have seen some reviews where water equipment, boats, etc in the background. I definitely do not want that location.

I'm finally getting around to writing a review. I will post it in a few days but I thought I would let everyone know how wonderful the Suites was to get married at. Amazing staff, great food, and fabulous people. We got married on the beach and had our private reception at the gourmet restaurant. I only a few photos from our photographer so far:

Hi Everyone,

We are getting married at the IRHB on May 4th. We are doing the semi/non private reception dinner and planning on having the bon fire after. Anyone who has had a bon fire, how long do the bartenders stick around for the bon fire. Is it exactly an hour?

Thanks for any input anyone can provide!

Our bartender stuck around for the 2 hours that I had the DJ, even though I payed for 1 hour of bar.  I do know that people were actively tipping his so this might have made a difference.

Hey Poddoc,

Soo i can't honestly tell you now what the vendor fee was, because my photographer had it in her contract that she covered visitor fees and vendor fees, so she paid it! :) so i am not too sure if they charged her 75.00 or 100.00 on top of the day passes.

Sorry i couldn't be of more help!

I did post a planning thread.. and i will try to post a review with pics, i am waiting however for my professional pics to come in before i do that!! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
