We stayed at the Suites a few weeks ago and ate at the Mexican restaurant. My fiance had shorts on and they made him go change into pants. Flip-flops/sandals are okay though.

We've chosen to do the terrace for all the same reasons. I'm not sure about the arch... I was going to try and cover it with fabric and flowers... If you could also send me photos of what it looks like without the arch it would be greatly appreciated!

I am considering the terrace as well. I am still undecided. I really want a beach ceremony, but the wind, blowing sand, and the random people in the background turns me off. The wedding arch is a complete eye sore. If I go with the terrace, I am not using the arch. I think the background of the ocean is enough scenery. I believe I have seen some pics where they use something other than the wedding arch. I will check for you and send you a private message.

Hi all!! I've been away for a while but wanted to let you know that I finally received my official wedding license.  It only took 11+ months and numerous calls to IRHS but it arrived yesterday!!

Good luck with your planning!! Enjoy it because it will be over before you know it.

That's crazy that it took so long!! Were you able to change your name and all that stuff without it?

Hi Ladies! I posted a few weeks ago about sending in my wedding documents with the PA notary seal (that is no longer a raised seal.) No issues here!!! They were acceptable even though JA likes to see the raised notary seal. Does anyone know how far in advance the resort needs your dinner count for the reception if you want to let your guests pick their meal?

I have read that security does a great job at keeping the strangers away from the wedding on the beach so not sure that will be an issue. Hope not anyways because I really want a beach wedding myself :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
