Ooops, sorry I should have mentionned that I was referring to the chairs they put outside for the ceremony. But you're right, it might be different for each resort.

Hope that helps.

I don't know for sure what the chairs look like for the ceremony, but based on the look of them with the chair covers I am inclined to think they are the white plastic chairs.  I would assume that you are having your ceremony on the beach, although even by the look of the ceremonies that are at the gazebo or the balcony, they seem to be the shape of the white plastic chairs.

Nika - I saw a glimpse of the bottom in someone's pictures (not sure who) but they appeared to be plastic.  I haven't actually seen them without the cover either.

Hi everyone!  I've been reading this thread for weeks, and it has been very informative.  I'm getting married at the Suites on July 30, 2012!  I'm very excited but overwhelmed and not sure what to do next.  My STDs are out, but nobody has booked yet.  I need to go dress shopping!  I've been emailing with the florist, and I can't decide what to do about photography!  I'm sure I'll have a lot of questions as the date gets closer, but I appreciate all the advice, photos and ideas!! :-)

Question for you ladies who have visited or past brides -

How bad is the sand flea problem at this resort.  I just got back from a trip to FL and my ankles and feet are bit up, from being in the sand only 15 minutes!!  I am itching like crazy and now nervous because I don't want my guests to go through the agony I am going through.  I have heard they are worse on the Negril side and smaller resorts, but seeing if anyone has heard of a problem here.

I might go buy up all the leftover insect repellent from the end of summer to give to everyone in their OOT bags now....wacko.gif

I personally encountered NO sand flees or mosquitos.  I did take repellant but never used it.  Take a look on trip advisor to see if anyone else mentioned it.  I would say go prepared, like maybe just brining a large quantity for the group to share but I honeslty don't remember seeing anything that alarmed me concerning sand fleas.

I didn't stay at this resort but I was at the Gran Bahia not far away and none of our group noticed any sand fleas at all. There were mosiquitos a little bit in the evenings when we were back near the treeline however it's so breezy on the beach in the evening that there wasn't a single mosiquito around there at any time. Come to think of it, I've travelled ALOT and the only times I've ever encountered sand fleas was on secluded beaches, never at a resort.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
