Very nice pics Daisy!! Congrats! Question where did you do your TTD on the Iberostar property or off property? And also I loved that you & your hubby got to dance under the stars on the beach. Priceless!

We did our ttd at the resort.  We walked up by the "beach" resort because there were more trees for shade and we didn't want our family and friends watching every move we made (they were all still in the pool!).  I didn't really want to leave the resort and take time away from our guests when we only had a few days with them. If you have a good photographer, he/she can work around the people, chairs etc. I was worried about chairs and stuff when she was shooting but then you don't even notice it in the photos.

For the other bride who asked, my dress was Watters with a Lazaro sash. My TTD was BCBG which I got from ebay for less than $100.  I washed it on handwash cycle and it's as good as new even after being in the salt water. I may wear it again if we have a at home reception.

Thanks Daisy. I figured if anything we would head to the beach resort as well for more privacy. Hopefully our photographer can do it really early in the morn. I want to be able to enjoy our day after wedding breakfast delivery to the room. What time was your breakfast delivered & what time was your TTD session?

We actually did our TTD just before sunset the night before (which is why I wore a dress completely different from my wedding dress).  At this time of day, everyone is pretty much off the beach and out of the pools. My photographer had to catch a flight home early the next morning so doing it before hand was our only option.

CONGRATULATIONS I ABSOLUTELY LOVE EVERYTHING...where was your reception?

Looks like I am in your boat as far as TTD. The day before or not at all with my photographer. How was it doing it the day before? Any advice? I feared my Groom seeing me in white before the wedding, but you have to do what you have to.

Yes, I felt the same way at first.  However, i just went on the hunt for a dress that didn't look too much like a wedding dress.  I looked for something that would just look good in the water. It was just a long white gown and didn't feel like a wedding dress to me. I just thought of it as a romantic photo shoot rather than trashing the wedding dress. It was kind of fun to do it the day before, we didn't have to worry about waking up to deadlines the next day.  All of the stress was over, and we just got to relax after our wedding day. If you do it the day before, you'll just have to be careful when you book your rehearsal dinner so that you are not too rushed (we were a little rushed).  I don't remember exactly what time our rehearsal dinner was but I remember I had to run back to the room and get ready and changed for that pretty quickly. The pictures took longer than I had anticipated.

I am trying to write the review right now and it's quite lenghtly. I hope I do not have a word limit or I am in trouble!  I feel like I am leaving so many things out. I hope to have it posted by tomorrow evening. I remember having so many questions before I left so I hope I can answer some questions for everyone else in my review.  Feel free to pm me if  you want to ask a question.

Some of the other reviews look pretty long, so it seems they allow quite a bit of info. Thanks for taking the time to write such a thorough review I know all of us brides will very much appreciate it!

BTW, you looked beautiful on your wedding day! Gorgeous pics! Thanks for sharing!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
