Iberostar Rose Hall Brides - Post all info/questions here!

Recommended Posts

Hi I'm interested in having my DW at Iberostar rose hall suites and was wondering how to go about planning. Who to contact,e-mail phone number, how far advance did you start planning ect. Is the hotel wedding corrdinator god or should i hire my own. My guests will be staying at the resort as well 20-25 people.  As you can see i'm just starting to plan and have alot of questions and confusion on where to start first...thanks for all the feedback.

Repost!

For the past brides that who were married at the Suites and had a private reception, what types of stuff were done during the reception to keep your guests entertained and occupied? For example I've been to wedding where guests play games, or the bride and groom had dancers to entertain, to a little fire show. I'm just seeking ideas to fill the 4 hour window along with the dance with our mothers, the garter toss, cake cutting and typical dancing.

Also can anyone tell me what the "grill chicken supreme" dish served at Aunt Ruby's entails?

So in looking through my info it would appear that the only option to have music on the beach during the bonfire is to hire the DJ. Is that the same conclusion everyone else came to? I recall a past post from someone saying they wanted to do their own music via an ipod for their dinner/reception but they were told that only a dj would be permitted to operate the sound system. It's alot of money for only 90 min of music but it seems to be the only way. Anybody have other suggestions? We just want to dance and party on the beach abit before having our cake and heading to the disco for the night. I would bring my own ipod player but I'm afraid it won't be loud enough to hear if it's really windy.

I am in a similar situation, my mom passed away a few years ago and shortly after that my father remarried, now he is refusing to come to the wedding or help pay for it, because his new wifey is a mega b****. I am disappointed, but trying not to let it get me down. We are on a very tight budget, so I am keeping things simple with the Free Wedding, semi-private dinner and cocktails and such, and not many decorations or flowers at all. At least my style is more simple and modern or this would be even more disappointing. LOL. I am having a rough time lately because it feels like no one cares about the wedding at all. We are just getting to the point where people are booking, so I hope that cheers me up! Your lucky to have the support you do! I hope things smooth out for you!

That is exactly what it means. I lost a bridesmaid, ring bearer and 2 flower girls. I am really disappointed because he is my only sibling and I know he really can afford it; I just don't think he wants to shell out the money. My mom is really upset with him, but I am not going to let that ruin my day. I am sorry your family dropped out. I have coworkers coming and not my own family. I am really thankful for my mom and my friends, they have been a great help!

I am so sorry about you losing your mom. I am really sorry about your dad and him not coming. I think that is so wrong, no matter how his wife feels about it. You are his daughter and I am so sorry he won't be there. No matter what you are going to have a wonderful day and as long as you and the groom are happy, then forget about everyone else. I think the Grand only offers the free wedding. I am glad you have people booking, unlike me.

Sometimes simple and modern is a little more elegant anyway!

toiinlove,

i've purchased cigars on property and no they're not the same price..they're marked up...like anything else at a resort, unfortunately.

i'm thinking of bringing cigars or maybe purchasing some locally before we get to the resort..i'd love to have a cigar roller but well, that might be a bit much...

Has anyone purchased cigar from the Cigar Bar before? If so, are the prices about the same as here in the US?

Has anyone brought cigars to the resort or plan on doing so?

Thanks in advance

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
