Iberostar Rose Hall Brides - Post all info/questions here!

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone!  I'm thinking of getting married at IRHS in June 2013.  I know I'm kinda early with planning, but do any of you current or past Iberostar brides have any info or suggestions to help us make our resort decision?  I'm loving what people on this site are saying about Iberostar, and I am about 95% positive this will be the place we pick for the big day, but I'm so nervous about making this decision!  :)

Im a past Suites bride and I dont regret one but my decision to go there.  Our decision was based on 1 wedding per day, proximity to airport, value and of course the consistent ratings of the resort.  We wanted it to be a real vacation for our guests.  The weddings there are beautiful and I think you will love it!

Does anyone know what the fees are if guests are not staying at the resort for your wedding but will attend.  I know that at the Beach there's a $75 wedding pass, and the $18 fee for each additional person after the eighth.  Should  I be concerned about immense fees if less than 90% of the guests end up not staying at the resort?

Quick question for past brides...

So I am about to order chair sashes.  I wanted them to be on the chairs for the ceremony, and the chairs for the private reception.  Does that mean I should buy double the amount of chair sashes, so that they can be ready and in both places, or will the resort move the chair sashes for me?

I just wanted to make sure I order enough.

Thanks so much ladies for all your help!!

Hi Bruuing17,

Despite what my fiance says, I don't think it is ever too early to start planning. I've learned so much and continue to learn so much on this board. I've seen just in the last 6 months how my good ideas have evolved into fabulous ideas. I don't think they would have blossomed so nicely without time and space. Also, I got a chance to check fares every week for the past 6 months to see how far out we should negotiate deals for our wedding that's 11+ months away. Something else I wouldn't have been able to do.

I can't offer about weddings at IRHS as I have decided to have my wedding off-site and am still wrestling with myself to make the appropriate hotel decision for our group. You are doing the right thing as far as getting started early and soliciting advice.

Oh yeah.  It says right in the document. My bad.  So yes, it does include a DJ and open bar, 8:30-10:30 pm.  Available for groups of 30 or more.

We are leaning towards having a semi-private dinner, and then moving over to the disco for the 2 hours to do first dances, and start the party.  Then we can stick around at 10:30 once it opens to the public.  I'm afraid that if we have to move from the restaurant to the disco at 10:30, it will really break up the party.  Also, the cost savings is pretty big for renting the disco only ($350), vs. renting restaurant ($800), plus DJ ($450), plus open bar (lots of $$$$).  This way, we'll just skip the open bar at dinner.  I'm not sure we'll have 30 people, but I'm having the disco prive regardless, they will just have to deal with it. lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
