As far as numbers you give the resort, you are only charged for those who actually show up.  Nicole goes over your final things list when you meet with her a couple of days before the wedding.  Pretty much anything can be changed on that list.  My numbers changed slightly and it was no problem.

The people who are going will say something but you may have some "surprises."

Not many, but  a few (3-4).

Did any of you ladies who are getting married soon have your bridal shower yet? Mine was this past Sunday and it was so good. My girls did a great job. I can't believe I have 45 days to go now. Time to work on some projects and enjoy the nervous feeling or I should say butterflies that are developing! lol

While it may not be the most formal idea or anything.  Would you have any time to call/e-mail/text these unconfirmed guests to check in and see if they are coming?  I would just say something along the lines of  "Hey so and so, I hadn't received your RSVP and wanted to see if you were coming so I can make final arrangements for the wedding..."

I doubt the airlines would allow them, but I'd rather ask then "sneak" them in. I think previous brides have had the luck, but I don't want to take that risk so I will find out. Good to know that they are not easy to find in Jamaica.

Do you think you can fly with them?

Hey girl! We're about to creep up to 45 people I think. Shall see for sure once the guests books. I can't believe time has flown that fast. We are going to have a private reception, this way we can still have the things done that we would've have wanted to do at home.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
