Iberostar Rose Hall Brides - Post all info/questions here!

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to post but it's not letting me!  This is a testish post.  But, my contract said vendor fees were 75 bucks and that I couldn't use anyone but Tai Flora.  So I'm not sure why there are so many differences.  It's kinda irritating.

You are right.  There is no fee for vendors who are not staying on the premises.  If you want her to stick around to refresh your look, then you will have to pay.  With her work, this is not necessary but that's up to you.

This is what I was told.  I did not pay for Rashel.

@ JamaicaSukie,

I just wanted to let you know that I had a wedding date reserved at the Suites for Saturday, July 21, 2012 but I am going to have my wedding off site and go with the Beach Resort for the accommodations instead so I just e-mailed Nicole to let her know that I am canceling my reservation so I just figured I would let you know that date would be available now unless there is someone else in front of you on the wait list.

Happy Planning:)

I was very surprised to find every weekend in July AND August already booked at the Suites, however, it's still a long way away and I'm still holding out hope that our date will open up. the one thing FI and I really want is a Saturday wedding since most of our guests have to leave Sunday and can't guarantee coming in earlier than Friday.

NOTE - Sorry for the double post but I wasn't sure how to include quotes until now.

I love the idea of a wishing tree. What are you using as the actual tree? Are you buying something or just renting it?

I'm having my wedding off-site and the reception at the Suites so she's providing me the centerpieces, a wishing tree (in lieu of a guest book), and services for the offsite ceremony.

Message me if you want her info.

I was told the same thing. As a matter of fact the same information was in the initial paperwork I was sent.

"Unfortunately we work exclusively with Tai Flora. No florist vendors accepted. But I am sure that if you get in contact with Jodi Ann from Tai Flora, you will get more assistance and in your budget."

This was just to get bulk flowers dropped off at the hotel too.  I wanted to hand make my bouquets with my bridesmaid who is a horticulturist and does floral arrangements.  Am I the only one who has gotten this answer?  I would triple check with the coordinator if you've booked other florists, because I am not sure if they are allowing certain people to do it or not.

Thanks!

I was going to do a message in a bottle sort of thing where guests would place wishes or Mad Lib sorta things in a glass bottle but decided on this since my florist Grande Garden is able to supply the tree.  So, yes it's a rental.  Here's pictures of what they will try to replicate  It will have flowers in it as well

but she can also string crystals on the branches.  wishing tree.jpgWishing Tree w:Moss.jpg

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
